my girlfriend and i have been dating for 3 years. we have had our ups and downs like any relationship. my girlfriends mother is dying for her to get rid of me. Her mom likes me but i don't think she thinks i good enough for her. my gf grew up dating people who's family were very well off. i'm 3 years older than my gf she will be finishing up college this year & i have just went back to school. her mom is into all that "status" stuff (money, class, education). i love my girlfriend a lot, but i she has sometimes think in same way as her mom. what should i do?

icky problem. Well you two have been together this long so your gf obviously loves you. Is she was raised to thing this way though, those feelings or thoughts are bound to come out occasionally. Have you discussed these things with her? Be open and tell her what your concerns are and how it makes you feel. dont end a long relationship because of what mamma thinks.

Forget her mom first, and deal with what your girlfriend thinks. Granted she may think like her mom sometimes, but she has been with you for 3 years through the ups and downs so that show's that she can't be all like her mom.

I would say to talk to your girl about it, i'm sure she will understand. As to the mom, she will be a pain in the @** either way, so just try your best to be calm when you deal with her and ignore her.

You shld talk to her abt it and see how serious she is about ur relationship...i've encounter some mom who behave like that in the past...all the cared is status but remember ur not marrying her mom but her...but since ur with her for 3 yrs...tht's quite a long time...and if she is more into status then loving u, then i wld advise u to leave her and move on.

First off, all mothers say they know what's best for their children....WRONG! Soem parents end up hurting their kids and making them unhappy, i want to say that love conquers all, but thats not always true. Prove it not only to your girl and her mom that you are what's best for her, but to yourself. A wise female once todl me "To get to the Rainbow, You have to get through the rain" Your rainbow is Bliss with your girl, and the rain is the problem at hand. Keep going to school and remember moeny makes the world go round but it doesn't buy love. Hopefully that helps.

if she really love u than money won't matter. if that is all she cares about she can go live in her wonderland by herself. just show her that u love her and let her decide on her own
