Singles & Dating - 18 January 2007

Hello, for the past year I have been dating a guy, we are living together. He used to be great and affectionate, loving and supportive. But now all he does is sit around and play playstation all day. I am pregnant, 3 moths along, and he acts like he doesn't even want to support the baby or anything. I asked him to put the playstation down and get a job, he says he uses the playstation to relax and if he doesn't have it, then he will break a window, go crazy, etc. (excuses) He does not work, he would rather go out and beg money from people. All of his friends come over, mess up the house, then its my job to get it clean because he is SO lazy. I do believe he has good potential, and I want him to clean up his act to we can get married and he can father this child. He will give every excuse in the book as to why he needs to play playstation or sleep in until 3 in the afternoon (while i am out working mind you)like he is tired, sick, etc. I need to get this playstation out!! how?

So I never thought I could be played by my best friend, who claimed to love me, need me, begged me not to give up on him, & that when he is lost he comes to me because I'm the realest person he knows; but I think I was. I'm really devastated, because we finally slept together, after he admitted to having deeper feelings for me than he admitted too. But after it happened, he still continued to claim he only wanted to be "just friends" & he got together w/ his ex (his only). This guy has serious problems feeling and showing love to himself or others. I was the person he came to with his everything and that he told to his guy friends was one of the most important people in his life. He really wants me in his life, but after I told him how much I love him, he had virtually no reaction, but "I just want to be platonic friends". I found out that I was pregnant, but miscarried, and again he had almost no reaction, but "I'm in shock" and he doesn't understand that I am angry. What the F?

I'm 32 year old man. I've got a good job, a great apartment. I'm single and I have a hard time meeting woman. My question is that lately I have started to feel as though all people my age are so ahead of me with their lives. I listen to stories, I watch my friends, and all of them seem to have such rich and rewarding lives. And, I guess I just don't know what I am doing wrong. I feel lost, and also like time just stood still for me, and everyone else kept moving forward. Does anyone else have the same feeling or does anyone know what to do to cure this situation for the better? By the way, I don't have a lot of money, but enjoy being creative. Thanks to everyone.

Ok, well, I have to make this quick because I have some homework to finish. Anyway, I just moved here (I won't say where), but I've been going to my new school for about 5 months and I really like it. Also, there is this guy and he's perfect. He's funny, very smart, cute, has a good smile and sense of humor, gorgeous green/blue eyes, and really nice hair. But, he has a girlfriend. He never really talks to her (only when she willingly talks to him), he never holds hands with her, never puts his arm around her, never hugs her, anything. It's not that he's unaffectionate, I just don't think that he likes her that much. But I kinda like him. A lot. He keeps trying to talk with me during class, tell me a joke, wait for me by my locker if he's going to the same class as me, or buy me a snack from the veding machines if I don't have money. Yesterday, in calculus, on the way out, he stopped at my desk and stared at me for maybe 6 seconds, but it seemed like forever. What should I do??

I wanted to see from other people's opinion, to see if i should keep talking to this guy. Well we talk n see each other every wkend persay, well he talk to other gurls he knows how i feel about him n i hate dat he talks 2 other gurl but wateva we aint a couple yet. Ok, my boyfriend asked me what is my fantasy(just us talking). I have many but one is to be with 2 men at once. Now, I don't want to do that with my current boyfriend because our relationship is very special to me and I just wouldn't want to do that with him and another man maybe if we just met , but I just want to know is it fun, is doing that giving 2 men too much power, do only nasty women do that and most of all should I do it and if anyone has the time how did it feel?

The thing is...me and this guy were dating but he then told me that he only liked me as a friend but we continued to stay together as friends w. benefits. (stupid idea, i know) so time passed and we eventually had sex. (its the 1st time i slept w. someone that was not my BF) so after new years i finally told him that i couldnt continue to do this (the friends w. benefits), because i liked him 2 much. and he relied "O.K."...which was followed by "i understand,you dont want to hurt urself. that was the last time i saw him. he said that there were no hard feelings but he hasnt called. i miss him so much. i tell myself that i did the right thing because i stood up for what i wanted but another part of me misses him and wants to call him. i guess he never comited cuz he didnt like me enough or else he would have stopped me from walking away. but he let me walk away and i guess has forgotten about me. what now?? i need all the advice i can get about the issue. helpful words...anything.thx!

Married 4 yrs. Currently apart. Our love went stale. We decided to start dating again. I know we need time apart to fall back in love. Theres no cheating or anything like that. How do i do this without being to pushy or giving? We both still love each other. I'm in counseling to talk about my issues. I think shes pleased i took that step. I'm doing it for me. I've had a crush on this girl for many, many months now, and apparently it's going nowhere. She knows I like her, but she doesn't like me as more than a friend. I've tried ignoring her, but she keeps coming back. For example, if I walk past her in the hallway, she'll scream my name, and when I reluctantly turn around, she'll smile and wave. I think she's doing it just because she knows I like her, and it's killing me on the inside. Then again, I still want her to be a part of my life, even if she doesn't like me like I like her. How can I do this, and at the same time get over her?

I've been going out with my boyfriend for about 3 months. we were in the 'ooh your so perfect.i love you." "No your more perfect i love u" stage! now this past week we've been getting on each others nerves. i mean.. we're driving each other nuts! I still love him and he still loves me of course but.. i cant be around him for more then a half an hour without him driving me nuts! i'm 12 and so are my friends, some are even 11 and a few are 13. They basically all have boyfriends, had a boyfriend, or are on the brink of having one. I'm not even close. I mean really i'm 12!!! come'on on mean, is it natural to not have a boyfriend? cuz where i come from it isn't. There's this guy that I think that I would like if I got to know him but I don't know how to start a conversation. I think there is no difference. Throw some money at em or get em drunk, woman will turn into chick. In my encounter, I saw some very sophisticated woman turned into chicks when I throw some nice words at em. It's all about how player plays his games.

This lady was my first ladyfriend. She dumped me harshly. She even bragged that she had found another guy and the she liked him because his skin was lighter than mine (me and the other guy are both African-Americans), she told me I was immature, she quit speaking and talking to me, and she even told me she was relieved to be with this other guy. In addition, she even told my mother that she felt she found "the one" which was not me. She is now married with a child. I was hurt when she dumped me so harshly. She was my first love and she dumped me so angrily with no remorse. I am a not a perfect guy but I am good guy. I always cherishted her and treated her respectfully but to no avail. That was the first and last relationship I ever had. I do not want another relationship.

Been dating 9 months, been great. He gave 3 reasons for breaking up: (1) Love. he loves me, therefore he wants to break up with me. Basically, he feels unworthy of me so bad about continuing to date me, and would break up as an act of love. (2) Time. He wants us to spend time doing other things, and grow while apart. (3) Timing. He wants us to break up while "our relations are still beautiful"/before we start disliking each other (Something I doubt will ever need to happen). I know he is being sincere, he insists that those are his reasons. From the beginning he has shown signs of being insecure about himself. He started dating me by saying "I Don't feel proportionate/worthy of you, but I want to date you." I already told him his reasons don't make any sense. He wrote back "The reasons for thinking lets break up are what I said just before. I am honestly so absolutely grateful to you. I think it is better if we break up." ok. first off, i made a mistake on my part because i just got out of a relationship with my bf of about a year. I still miss him. To get to the point, i found out only a week after we broke up, he already started dating girls and being on online dating systems.
My family and friends convinced me to join match.com. I never did that before, meeting a guy online. I spoke with the guy on the phone for 2 hours, then the next day i met him in person. He wasn't really my type, i don't mean to judge on a first date, but he really wasn't asking me anything and i had to keep the conversation flowing,
i feel bad as he did pay for my drink, but i really didn't like him, i know he is looking for more than a friendship and i don't wanna waste this guys time either...i ended up deleted him from my myspace and he did ask for this weekend , but i just sent him a general message saying i was busy....
have any of you ladies done this? guys feel free for opinions....
