There's this guy that I think that I would like if I got to know him but I don't know how to start a conversation. He's a grade behind me, I'm in 8th grade and he's in 7th, and I don't even know what his name is. He's in two of my classes, gym and health. I see him look at me some. Anyway, I'm kind of shy and want to know a way to start a conversation with him that doesn't sound dorky. If I talk to him it would be in gym. Thanks!

try to start a conversation about something going on in gym class. so that it might seem like a normal question etc rather than you nervously trying to make contact.

you should just be yourself. and just let it flow. ask him what's his name. or if you see him in the hallway. ask a question like excuse me do you have the time? you know things like that.
