Singles & Dating - 25 October 2006

My friend has been called "UGLY" all her life and no guys wants to date because she is being called that all the time. She is heartbroken and doesn't know what to do. I'm not apparently helping. So I'am asking out there what should I tell her, because I have said more than enough to try and confince she is beautiful and other things as well.She is not listening to me. I don't know what to do anymore. I don't want to give up on her either. She keeps saying that she should end her life, but I tell her not to, because I know that there is someone out there for her. I have even asked God to help her. Please can anyone help me with what to do and what to say. Anything would be wonderful, Just keep it possitive please. Thanks very much.

A lot of my friends lately are losing their 20 something girlfriends to old guys. Is this some kind of crazy fad amongst you girls, or are you women really chasing the bigger wallets of these old men? It seems so very odd to me. I'm thinking it's the money. Then again, maybe grey hair and wrinkled skin are turn-ons to today's "it girl."

I believe 50 % of marriages end in divorce, not because of money, trust, falling out of love or regular issues, but because they are just tired of each other period! and the other 50%? more than half are sleeping with the other half! SO, when are we going to stop fooling ourselves?

I asked this in the friends section last night, but I would like you guys over here's opinions too...

What do you do if you have a friend that will make plans but never show. And have email conversations, but leave you hanging and stop replying. When you call him out on it and say "What is up with you leaving me hanging?" and he yells at you saying that he has more important stuff going on besides you and he doesn't have to answer TO you anyway. And he also says that you are behaving like you are more than friends.

We were once friends with benefits, but we aren't any longer. I am dating someone different now, and he knows that.

Obviously, he has anger issues. But why would I become his punching bag? And how do I deal with that? This is the second time this has happened.

NOT that I am complaining in anyway. But I am confused he has told me that he has never had a good experience with a relationship and he always ends up hurt, he does not want to start another one. I understood what he meant and after 2 years of just a friendship I said okay. Now for the last 4 months we have, in my opinion, been dating. He doesnt want to call it dating, all his friends no me but he wont dare call me his girlfriend, nothing to do with a serious relationship. When we spend time together he is holding my hand, hugging me, kissing me, he even wakes in the night (when i stay over) and rubs and kisses my face while i sleep . He has not let one day go by with out speaking to me or at least texting me. My problem is I am starting to have stronger feelings for him but I am afraid that if I tell him it will push him away. How do I let him know without really saying it? For his birthday last week I brought him a ring with an eternity symbol of it for our friendship

I ask this because I've read where threesomes have the potential to ruin relationships - and the two people closest to my girlfriend (me, her boyfriend, and also her best friend) will be involved. I'am 18 years old, and I used to like this boy he wasn't my first love or nothing like that.I did at one point in time liked him,but he broke my heart by breaking up with me and now he is always saying I made a mistake and that he is so sorry, but I don't know. ok i have had a myspace account open for maybe like a year..i use to go on it while i was at work..but they blocked us so its been a long time since i went on until recently...my cousin signed up for myspace and she wanted me to go on and check out her page and look at her pics and stuff so i did...i let my fiance know that i had an account and he got a little mad...but then he was like i want a myspace page so i was like ok so i'll help you do yours..so i did..but hes getting these request from girls and hes requesting these chics and i cant help but to feel a little..uuumm ok insecure...and mad as all hell...but i'm trying not to show it because i think that hes just doing it ya know to show me how it feels i guess..should i let my true feelings show and flip out over it or should i let it take its course sit back and see what he does..what do you guys think about my situation..am i wrong for the way i feel because after all i had one first..and should i tell him how i really feel?
