I believe 50 % of marriages end in divorce, not because of money, trust, falling out of love or regular issues, but because they are just tired of each other period! and the other 50%? more than half are sleeping with the other half! SO, when are we going to stop fooling ourselves?

50% of marriages DO NOT end in divorce in my country (less than 10%, at most). And more than half ARE NOT sleeping with other halfs. That usually happens in the west so maybe it's not as much about "human nature" as the ills of modernity and culture. You've got a point though, and i'm a huge divorce-fan. If the marriage isn't working nobody should be forced to live with anybody just because it's frowned-at in their culture (or religion).

I think it is a custom devised primarily to make the society a patriarchal one. If a women were to have sex with multiple men, the concept of biological father of her kids becomes suspect and so the patriarchal system cannot survive.

Note that even with this rule in theory, in most societies men were always allowed to have multiple wives, as this did not threaten paternity.

Everything including relationships are considered disposible in this society. We get bored, simply find someone else to get bored with. Face it, relationships are not easy, they take work. No one wants to do the work. I myself, enjoy the security and comfort that comes with long term relationships.
