Singles & Dating - 16 October 2006

I work with this guy and as time has passed we've become pretty good friends. He asked me to go out on "a date" with him, I went, we both had an awesome time, nothing happened, we just had fun. I'd dying to go out again, I know I should just ask but I want to be sure he wants to go and doesn't feel pressured into it, just because I'm asking. So..last night at work, he comes by, we're talking, he makes a phone call (to this little dive bar) to make sure they are open, looks at me and tells me he's going out and didn't ask me to go with him. Before we leave work he comes by again and just stares at me, says "what?" I say "nothing"..we both smile and he leaves, says see ya tomorrow with a wink. Now, did he want me to invite myself or is he trying to get rid of me?? I'm confused! Help!

my wife has a black eye, and i heard that putting something cold (like a bag of frozen peas) will make the swelling go down.
the problem is, she has a black eye because i hit her really hard with a bag of peas.

I have had an event of a partner slamming a door at my face and somehow my inability to handle that seemed to have jeopardized the relationship. What is the best way to handle an angry man? Is it better to let him cool down first or is it better to go after him and try to get things solved right away? I am talking about a regular guy (not a convicted or abuser or drug addicted who spanks women, etc). What is the best way to handle the regular dude when he gets angry and go slamming doors or alike?

At what point it a relationship is it okay to start using these terms? We've been going out for over 5 months now and we've been referred to as "partner" and "significant other" but I've never used this term to refer to him / introduce him to my friends. But, my behaviour reflects his....Any comments on this?

I met a guy and we hit it off. We had sex early into our friendship. I regretted it and wanted us to stop being friends. Then he says he wants to make it work - that he wants to be in a relationship. I let him know I was dating around. I asked him if he was seeing anyone else and he said no. He's been upfront about his past relationships in telling me how girls were always acting 'crazy' over him.

I'm not about friendship with benefits so I told him either we're together or we're not friends. Suddenly he's not ready for a relationship, wants to remain friends and open to possibilities in the future. I say no and walk away. I felt bad and decided to give friendship a try. A week later, he's saying that he misses me and I remind him that we're friends.

Two days later, I see him walking with a girl at 7 a.m. which is cool because he and I are just friends. But when he sees me, he literally runs into the nearest building. I acted like I didn't see anything. ---> continues....

I was asked to dinner last week and went out last night with this guy to a Mexican resturant. He was a gentleman and we hit it off great, he even asked if he could meet my family and MY family liked him. It was soooo hard not to kiss him, but I knew it was the first date and would leave somewhat of a bad impression. We both said we had fun and the date started at 6pm and didn't end until 10pm and the whole time we were having fun, laughing and learning about each other, now what though, I don't want to have every date be something that has to do with spending money.. Also, this was my first date in 2 years.. So I need help to make sure that I don't run him off.. what should I do?

I laugh every time a bad boy hurts you. Why? because you should know better. I don't feel sorry for a stupid woman that falls for that crap. I'll just laugh in your face like I've been doing in the past. One girl told me her bad boy boyfriend cheated on her. I laugh at her and said "what do you expect"? "I'm glad he did it " I told her. Of course she was mad but I didn't care. She has to grow up just like you ladies. Soon there will be a website that will laugh at women who are so dumb when it comes to dating. There are 2 men in my heart, but of course, I must choose one. One gives me "butterflies" and I think about him all the time......he's a little more unstable and not at kind, but we connect on soooo many levels. I feel he could be a kindred spirit.
The other warms my heart and treats me the way I should be treated. When I think of him, I am happy inside, I feel safe and secure, but it's not the same passion I feel for the first man. We connect but not on the same level as I do with the first man.

I have been with the girl I am with now for 2 yrs....I do love her & I do care about her but lately Ive been having thoughts of dating men, even wanting to find a man to settle down with. We have an apt together thats in her name. I find myself talking to men even letting them call my phone, even thou I know theres a good chance she'll find out! This guy that I've had a casual relationship with for over a year just moved away for family reasons. Before he left he told me that he still wants to keep in contact with me, and that if I ever needed someone to talk to then he'd be there. We had a really great relationship, and we still keep in contact through email & phone even after he left. If it the relationship was too casual, like just for sex, then I'm sure he would've just blown me off after he left, but I'm thinking it could be a start for something more, but I think it's going to take some time, but I'm willing to be patient. He also moved back home to get financially stable (it costs alot more to live where I'm at than where he lives now) So will time only tell? My b.friend and I have been good friends for two years, and six months ago became a bit more. I've known from the beginning I'm completely into him. He is the stereo-typical Aquarian who is so unemotional and detached it's sickening! Anyway, in his words: he isn't in love with me, he cares, and he could spend his life with me, but he can't promise that he'd ever love me. As an Aries I'm ready to run away, my head says that it's a bunch of crap, that he would feel it now if he were going to love me later. But my heart says that it is possible, that he's the type that has to trust completely in order to give love. Which should I follow? On one hand I feel that we are well suited, we agree on spiritual paths, what we expect out of relationships, etc. The emotional detachment is the only problem. Maybe love is over-rated?

What do you do when you like two boys? It all started when I met one guy and went on a few dates with him, but then started at a new job and met another really great guy. I wasnt going to do anything since i had the first guy, but then he didnt call me for almost two weeks so i agreed on a date with the guy from work.
