I work with this guy and as time has passed we've become pretty good friends. He asked me to go out on "a date" with him, I went, we both had an awesome time, nothing happened, we just had fun. I'd dying to go out again, I know I should just ask but I want to be sure he wants to go and doesn't feel pressured into it, just because I'm asking. So..last night at work, he comes by, we're talking, he makes a phone call (to this little dive bar) to make sure they are open, looks at me and tells me he's going out and didn't ask me to go with him. Before we leave work he comes by again and just stares at me, says "what?" I say "nothing"..we both smile and he leaves, says see ya tomorrow with a wink. Now, did he want me to invite myself or is he trying to get rid of me?? I'm confused! Help!

He's playing with your head. He was wanting something else out of that first date and when he didn't get it he lost interest. He is now trying to get you to invite yourself to go with him so he doesn't have to feel obligated. And if he's wanting to take you to a bar, he's trying to get you drunk so it's easier to persuade you out of your clothes. Leave him alone and find someone else.

he is definitely NOT trying to get rid of u.. i guess he wasn't sure tat u will agree to follow him if he did ask u... u should haf shown a little interest there or drop a hint or two rather than let him guess wat ur answers will be..I m sure u know the feelin of rejection rite? Maybe he was feeling it too, jus like how u r feeling now.... Y not this time round, U ask him for a date? I mean he asked u the first time, wats wrong with u asking him rite? Start with a lunch date maybe, if he say yes, during lunch, juz ask if he is interested to hand out after work one of the days... Good Luck!

He is either meeting another chick or just wants to hang out with some of his fellas.

The ONLY option you have is to flirt and act like you have other guys you could date. But DO NOT ask him out. If he wants to go out with you again, he will ask. Just because he hasn't yet, shouldn't be a concern. He is playing his cards very well with you. He hasn't asked you out yet because he wants to see how you react, and it is working. You are all worked up and thinking about him a lot. That is what he wants. If you ask him out, he will know he's got you because you have just thrown yourself at him. Which will invite more trouble for you.

So, let him persue you, act like you got other guys to see and he is lucky to have gotten one date with you.

I wouldn't sweat it. Give it time. He might only see you as a friend or it could be he thought it was a little short notice. Just go up to him tell him you had a great time and would love to go out again. And leave the ball in his court. Hope that helped you.

He is interested. He was awkward to ask. Next time, say this "You are giving me this information because . . . you want company?"
