I met a guy and we hit it off. We had sex early into our friendship. I regretted it and wanted us to stop being friends. Then he says he wants to make it work - that he wants to be in a relationship. I let him know I was dating around. I asked him if he was seeing anyone else and he said no. He's been upfront about his past relationships in telling me how girls were always acting 'crazy' over him.

I'm not about friendship with benefits so I told him either we're together or we're not friends. Suddenly he's not ready for a relationship, wants to remain friends and open to possibilities in the future. I say no and walk away. I felt bad and decided to give friendship a try. A week later, he's saying that he misses me and I remind him that we're friends.

Two days later, I see him walking with a girl at 7 a.m. which is cool because he and I are just friends. But when he sees me, he literally runs into the nearest building. I acted like I didn't see anything. ---> continues....

An hour later, he's e-mailing/calling me off the hook to apologize. Suddenly it makes sense to me why girls are always 'acting crazy' over him. Judging from what I saw earlier, I can see how that would happen, especially if the woman is immature or emotionally unstable. However, that's just not me.

So we meet in my apartment (that same day) to discuss this. I asked him why he ran and he said that he though I would act up in the street. I told him that I have too much going for me to mess up my future over this and he knows it. And if that was the case, why meet me alone in my apartment? I called him a coward for running and a liar for not being upfront about other women when I asked. AND TO TEST HIM, I ASKED THAT WE HAVE SEX. HE SAID NO! I MEAN REALLY REFUSED MY ADVANCES! He said that he just wants to be friends. I thought that was the end of it but ten minutes later, he gets home and sends me an instant message asking me if I'm still upset with him. I'm so confused ---> continues

We have the class together today and I know he's going to ask me if I'm still upset. If we're just friends, why would he feel the need to keep apologizing?

Well from what i have read you are OK and he is the one with a Major problem. Be his friend if you want but i would keep my distance and definitely NO sex with him. You do not know what he has got maybe nothing but be careful. His elevator does not go all the way to the top.

He doesn't want a relationship or really a friendship. If he can't be honest now then he will never be honest with you ever. I'm not even sure I would even consider being his friend at all.....

I don't think you know what you want either so its probably best that you just let this whole thing go. Why would you offer him sex?? What kind of test is that?? Not a very nice one.....

Wow.

I don't even know where to begin.

Seems like he's the immature one and you're the stable one in this situation. Just call the whole thing off or tell him to calm down and that you don't care if you see him with another girl because you guys aren't serious.

the line between friends and lovers can be very blurred, he sounds like he just wants to make sure that you guys are just friends and that you dont have a problem with him seeing other people even though he lied

He sounds like a bit of a player to me. I would stay away from him, who needs friendships that are this complicated???

Let him go. Obviously he's just into mind games and feeling like he's irresistable. You deserve better than that
