At what point it a relationship is it okay to start using these terms? We've been going out for over 5 months now and we've been referred to as "partner" and "significant other" but I've never used this term to refer to him / introduce him to my friends. But, my behaviour reflects his....Any comments on this?

If the two of you have commited to each other in significant ways:

-Saying "I love you"
-Gone on dates
-Went out of town together
-Talk on the phone
-Kissed and hugged
-Got each other gifts
-Talked about your futures
-Slept together

are you together in a relationship. Is there anybody else?

If you guys are committed to being faithful to each other i would think boyfriend is the term. I mean its been 5 months

it's different with every couple. i asked my boyfriend what would be the best term to refer to him if i introduced him to people. and we were only dating for a month when i asked that question. i think the key is to be clear with one another, without any expectation. just explain to him that it would be a bit weird for people to see you guys hanging out together most of the time, and not knowing how to address yourselves to public.

but then again, it worked for me and my boyfriend. maybe it'll be different for other people :)

Ever for the reason that i become little and til on the instant i've got consistently referred to as my mum "Mummy" and my dad "Daddy". in simple terms because of the fact they never replied to "mum"/"dad". and it quite is often caught, i assume. comparable with my siblings, too. I swear every time my mom calls me at artwork, and that i answer saying "hi, mummy", i'm getting the main strangest seems from my artwork colleagues. They consistently discover that hilarious and commonly take the mic. and that i can actual see why it quite is humorous lol yet, it quite is rarely replaced, and that i doubt it quite is going to. mom and pa will consistently be Mummy and Daddy. And especially because of the fact they gained't respond to something from their toddlers! : )

ask him how he wants to define the relationship y'all have. No one knows better how to define than the two of you
