I am working with a UN agency in an African country. I am a contractor so that means my job has no guarantee,no reward, no leave and on top of all half the money.
I had my old chief back from New York with a higher position but he is no more working in my department , he met me a almost a month ago and he told me that he would help me in getting a permanent job.......Since now there is lot of unrest here and UN need more and more people,there are lot of vacancies and new people are coming everyday,hundreds of interviews are taking place everyday. I am very puzzeled as to what to do? Should i go and remind it to my ex Chief????

But here our bond of friendship is very strong....we talk every day, often times two, three times a day. It is like nothing has changed except for the fact the person is dating others which is in line with the fact they don't want a relationship at this time either. Should I cut my losses and move on or remain friends with this person and "not burn my bridges"? The urge to just follow my gut and move forward is really strong at this moment in time but I want to make a rational decision and appreciate any suggestions/comments that you might be able to share here. been 3 years with my first love, i needed a bit of a break with her and be with my dad so i went oversea to study and i made new friends and got preoccupied with my time study/go places. She felt that I was ignoring her by not calling her everyday or messaging her. I always try to find time to talk to her. she checks my emails and found out that I been taking pictures of girls and sending it to them. heck i never wrote anything in those emails. OK my boyfriend is 19 n i'm 20 and were having twins and we just broke up, so everytime we argue his like **** u and don't ever call me again and i dont wanna c the kids, then he'll call back and be like i was just mad, and he's always saying i start all the arguments but we both think its the other. First of all this doesnt matter but just for a little history of our lives i am an african american female, he is from somalia/yemen, his mom is somalian, his uncle's wife is white(25yrs). so now that i filled u guys in his mom says that all black girls are ghetto n they either fake being pregnant/ they do it on purpose, so his mom says that i am a faker/ liar about everything i've tried everything to prove myself n they think i got other ppl pic (his mom lives in canada we live in ohio) his uncle met me and doesnt like me for no reason and my b/f goes n tells his uncles wife our business n she said doesnt like black girls am i wrong for not gonna let his family c the babies? they hate me!

I recently let my husband because I think he's cheating on me so I caught a plane and moved back to Florida with my mom since I thought she might be lonely since my younger sister recently went away to college. But a week later, my brother, his wife and their spoiled brats moved in, too. Now, my mom has put me out of the room I was using just so she could give it to those kids and my brother and his wife are sleeping in my sister's room. My sister in law is very pushy, and I hate her so much. She tries to act like my mom is hers and she always uses my things and my mom tells her it's okay. My mom also always takes her side and agreed with her when she said I should just get a job and move out! But I'm not ready to do that yet, because I'm upset about my husband. Plus, the brats are really annoying! What should I do?

okay my hubby works in an Aluminum plant and he is a team lead there, he is 26 and we have been married 6 years. Well a week ago the plant hired 2 19 year old girls, Brittany and Nikki. Well he has talked about them a lot this past week. about how he talked to them about this and talked to them about that and he has actually been volenteering to train these girls. And talks to them on myspace and stuff. Now i am not normally jealous but when that is all i hear about, it starts to bug me. and to top it off, there is a house up for rent across the street from us and I guess he took them the phone number and they went to see it and now they are probably gonna move in across the street! He said "Honey I told them you would help them find things for their place and that they could hang out here sometimes when they are bored" I really don't wanna entertain these girls. I made the comment to him "I suppose I have to be nice to them?" and he said "Why not, they are my friends?" what do i do

I know all of us either were, or are still somewhat shy at a young age, but is it possible that a female in her mid 20's could be too shy to tell me she likes me? Lots of flirting and playing around, and other stuff goes on between us. If it wasn't for the age difference (I'm 10 years her elder) and she's a coworker, I would of asked her out awhile ago. But for some reason, I'm thinking she's just to shy to tell me. I've asked lots of female friends about what she does to me and does it seem like she likes me. Almost all of them tell me that it sounds like she likes me.

But are females that age (mid 20s) still shy sometimes when it comes to displaying their feelings? I always thought it was the guys who were hesistant to express their feelings.

My significant other and I were intoxicated and a disagreement got out of hand. It escalated into him close fist punching me in the face. He called the police. He was charged with domestic violence. The argument was pointless, it was mostly alcohol that was the problem. We have both sworn off it permentantly. Can a relationship get over something like this if both partners are willing to go through extensive counseling or once this happens do you call it quits?

We have been fighting alot lately because of money (not enough of it) we have been living together for about a month and a half. we have a 11 month old son already. I dont work b/c i stay home and take care of him. Now my fiancee says im lazy b/c i dont work and help him out money wise. and now he is telling me that he is unattracted to me bc im an under achiever and he doesnt like it. and also he says he is not happy with me anymore he thought us lving together would change everything but it just made things worse. he hates that i ? him so much and he hates it. isnt the first few months of a couple living together hard. he says that he needs to distant himself from me so he can think about what he wants in life, but i can still live here but its going to be different. i dont know what to do b/c i fought with my parents for so long just i can be with this guy and now he doesnt want me? i dk what to do, i cant raise this other baby on my own one is hard enough to deal with

It's Saturday, & I just got a certified letter notice from the post office. What could it be? I sent one once to someone I had to, but as far as I know, no one is mad at me, and I just can't think of anyone, or why someone would send it/ I hate the wait, are they always bad, could it be something else that is sent that way?

I've been with my boyfriend for a little over six months, having sex with him for four months, and been friends with him for over 5 years. Though during a good four and a half years, that friendship has been strictly online and in school and such, so my parents havn't had a huge chance to see what he's about.
We love each other to death, which I know sounds ridiculous considering how we're both just sixteen.
But yes, because of my two older sisters, she knows for sure that the oldest out of us [22] is having sex, and thinks that my other older sister [18] is, too [which is true]. My mother doesn't bash my oldest sister because of it, but still...
I always have my parents drop me off at his house when they know that his mother's at work, and that doesn't bother them even though they know that his mother doesn't like anyone in the house when she's not there [as you can assume, that's when we have sex].
I know it's considered 'bad' by society to do 'it' at such a young age, but...

I have been dating my bf for over seven mon. he is 22 and im 24. My problem is the last month we have been fighting over him getting into modeling, i dont mind that he wants to be a model, I do however care that he wants to be in sexy poses and maybe with other female models doing steamy poses as well. We had a big fight about this a few days ago and he promised me he would not be doing anything like that. and everything was fine, but now he is getting into a depressed state and he tells me its cuz he has alot on is mind. he rarely talks to me about his issuses and we barely talk on the phone and spending time with one another is now down to once a week if that. should I be worried that he wants to move on or end the realtionship? or is there more going on that I am just not aware of?

I was suspicious because he had been spending so much time on the Internet, and had been carefully cleaning out his computer every time he logged off, add to that the discovery of a few new messenger profiles. So I put a keylogger on his laptop in hopes that it would either prove his innocence, or give me the evidence with which to confront him. I was especially suspicious because of an e-mail I had seen in his myspace mail from a girl saying that they should "meet up sometime again soon". I really assumed he was cheating on me with her, because this was during the time that I was experiencing severe morning-sickness and had no interest in sex. Now maybe part of this is my fault, because I knew he'd had experiences with men in the past (oral sex), but I never fathomed that he would lie to me and then cover his tracks. He lied until I had him completely cornered and he KNEW I knew. When I caught him he was in the process of planning a meeting with another guy. I don't know what to do???

I drink like everyday. But i dont crave it or anything. I get plastered ever night- I dont wake up with a hang over.
I can go with out drinking, i do it every once in a while just to see...maybe i just like to get wasted after a long day @ work.
I never drink alone, my b/f drinks too. And we dont go broke to drink...

My boyfriend doesn't feel well. It seems to be one thing after another. He can't sleep. Ok so this guy and I were dating like a lifetime ago and recently he contacted me saying he still loves me and all this crap. I've told him that I am happy with my fiance with 2 beautiful children but he seems to not get it that there will never be anything there. He's in the military so he spends the majority of his time away from home and he doesn't even see his child most of the time. Well I deleted him from my contacts on everything but still he manages to send me messages here and there.
