I told my boyfriend, we should get married, because we were together for 10 years and we are already in our 30s. But before that we in a living in set up for about 10 years. We lived in our own, for 7 years and 3 years in his parent’s home. He was okay with it at first. Even if we are not certain about how to go about it since we don’t have that much money, we decided in having a simple ceremony. But out of the blue he told me he doesn’t want to get married anymore because he is afraid of responsibility and the future, I think of financial problems. But why be afraid now after years of living together?

I don't like my bf buying me things at all bc in my life people hold it over ur head if they get u something then ur like a slave to them for what they bought u, he has done it with sex or saying he should get to do what he wants since he got me such and such, well I've been upset too about an abortion i had to get which was his child, and he tells me all the time to just forget it bc it was needed to do bc we couldn't support a child, yes i'm on bc but it didn't work even with condoms. and my family is on the verge of a divorce with my parents that of course i would be upset. well he goes to his mom and tells him i'm upset but doesn't tell her y, and that i don't like him buying me stuff, she says well thats good, make her go dutch and buy her own ticket, and whatever she needs on our date tomorrow. he says he will buy the ticket but its with her debt card. How would u state her answer, does she like me, hate me, bc my own mom would tell my bro to ask the girl whats wrong not go dutch

My 13th is less than 2 months away... and so is the 3rd anniversary of my father's 2 strokes. All my memories of the hospital i got to know so well, my family being sad, my father lying unconscious on the hospital bed on my 10th birthday... are all coming back to haunt me. My friends seem to be ignoring me and it's just making my life difficult. I have suffered from depression before and i just keep getting sad for no reason. I don't know what to do. Please help me.

The way I was raised, you politely call first, and check to see if it's a good time to stop by. Almost everyone has a cell phone nowadays so it should be very easy for people to call first. I think it shows respect and caring. My in-laws keep DROPPING by. I have made my views known and asked them to call first, but they keep doing it. I love privacy! I love quiet evenings at home. I don't like to stay "dressed" all day. I also have health issues and if I have been in pain...sometimes the house doesn't look too great and it embarasses me. I would just like to have the option to say whether it's a good time or not. It's so easy when they all have cell phones. now it seems like they are doing it now to bother me, or "show" me that they don't have to.

How can you tell the difference between if someone is being rude (e.g. a boyfriend) and just selfish when they don't do considerate things like if they make dinner or a meal/snack and ask if you'd like some and make some for the both of you.... or make time to be together after work instead of getting on computer/going to gym/saying "I'm tired" and watching tv or sleeping.

VERUS

Someone who is really tired & things are really okay but they just show you once per week maybe that they care about you by doing something kind of nice.

They talk a lot with other people like if he says he is tired someone can call & he perks up.

Lots of times says we/he can & will do something but then doesn't -- like "we'll have sex tomorrow" or "we can go see the property we are buying tomorrow" (offer has already been submitted & he talks about the property a lot; I would like to see it once every 2 weeks to watch the progress)..... Or "I'll rub your shoulders after this show"
Doesn't happen.

mention this fact to my mother for fear of her words of discouragement. Long story short, I ended up telling her today and she was (how I imagined) very negative about it. I value my mother's opinion a lot, most would say too much.. and I don't know how to acknowledge her opinion without actually doing what she says. I really just want to know how get over feeling bad because I don't make every choice she wants me to make. I feel like I'm a bad person if I don't do what she wants... any helpful advice out there...?

my husband is in another country i went to visit him about a month ago with our son who was 2 months old we where there for 2 months my son now is 5 months and i want to go see my husband the thing is i kind of wanted to leave my son with my mother because shes really usto being with him and says not to take him owey its just going to be for a month but my husband says that he wants to see his son do you think its wrong for me as a mother to be owey from my 5month old son for a month would that make me a bad mother thanks

when she prys on mine, I have to show her/tell her. She always acts as if she is in a terrible situation and I am forced to console her. It's just that whenever I go out with her, there is this sense of arrogance: the ways she talks, looks at me, etc that demean me. See, one time when we were in the bathroom, she was looking at herself in the mirror, fixing her makeup, etc, and when I would do the same, she never gives me time. Her belief is that if she's done, everything's done. the most funniest part of all of this is that, she says I think i am an angel when I myself have never even said anything like that about myself and she even said i was selfish. why is it that she never sees her mistakes but is so eager to point out mine. what should I do?

I still love my ex, he still loves me, we want to be together and spend as much time together as we can, my live-in, refuses to leave me alone, is very agressive and a total pain. I dont want to call the police as I have 2 kids (to my ex) in the house, we constantly argue and he has shown agression towards me more than once.

i put a post on hear the other day about my ex well i let him come round to see kids but he ended up spending more time with me than the kids he told me he loved me more than his girlfreind loads of other crap we slept together again then after he just slagged me of he started pussing me around cause he couldnt find his shoes i just lost it as its not the forst time he has hurt me i ended up trying to slash his tires and hanging off the side off his van trying to get his door open i feel just as bad as him for doing that now the kids prob wont see there father no more and its all my fault cause the way i carried on iam at the moment on antidepressents and waiting to see a councilor to see why i keep wanting him back and letting me do this to me even after what he done i still love him and want him back i should not feel like this towards a man that has cheated on me loads a man that kurts me should i i feel so bad for my kids i no i should just forget him and move on

My friend who is 15, & will be 16 in nov. has been dating this kid 4 like 7 months. I have never met him but since we have grown apart. She is leaving for vacation on saterday and last week we planned on going out before she left. So i called her and i asked her what we were doing to do, then she said "oh i have plans now" They were with her boyfriend. She out right ditched me. We have been together for 5 years or more now, we have two kids and I also take care of his child from a previous. Ive asked him a million times why he wont and he just says its too expensive. What gives??????? He treats me like **** most of the time, leaving me with the kids while he goes off and does whatever. Im just sick of it I guess. I feel like I cant get out. I have been a staty at home mom for a while now. I couldnt move out even if I wanted to I have no job money or car. It totally sucks to have become so dependant on someone who treats you so bad. I feel like im stuck between a rock and a hard place. Im tired of being alone and having no social life. While he has a job and a social life. Almost everynight that I go to bath the kids, he takes off doesnt tell me just takes off and comes back when he feels like it. Maybe hes fed up with me and having a life with kids. all he wants is friends and he is so mean to me. what should i do words of wisdom from the wiser please. thanks
