my husband is in another country i went to visit him about a month ago with our son who was 2 months old we where there for 2 months my son now is 5 months and i want to go see my husband the thing is i kind of wanted to leave my son with my mother because shes really usto being with him and says not to take him owey its just going to be for a month but my husband says that he wants to see his son do you think its wrong for me as a mother to be owey from my 5month old son for a month would that make me a bad mother thanks

i also kinda wanted a brake not from my son but just to clear my mind its so hard being a first time mom 24 7 sometime i feel like i need to have some time just for me

i don't think it would make you a bad parent to leave your son with your mother, a person you trust and know will keep your child safe.

but you might want to consider your husband's feelings about wanting to see the child. if he's been away for long periods of time, he probably feels a piece of him is missing... knowing his son is far away every day

perhaps you could give your husband the gift of spending time with the baby?

i guess it's something you and your husband might want to discuss further. take care

I don't see anything wrong with leaving your son with your mother because you know that he will be well taken care of. However, If your husband wants to see his son then you should take him with you.

No, I think that would be a bad idea this early. That's a fifth of his life! A child that young needs his mother.

It's probably better for your son to stay with your Mother rather than going far and getting sick from travelling.

What do you think grandmothers should do, sit around and do nothing? I'll bet your mom would love to have the baby around!
