We have been together for quite some time. While purchased gifts are nice, I want to give him something more heartfelt. This is only part of my problem. I dont want to make him a scrapbook, cd mix, or coupons. Help?

Children? I will still see my daughter and write to her and get a web cam, and try to come down as much as possible, but I know it will not be the same, I just want to be able to provide for my children, I love my daughters and I see them every other weekend, but if I leave I will not be able to do that.

My boyfriend and I have been together for almost 4 years. However, he has broken up with me out of the blue 4 times now. I never expect it to happen because we never fight, and get along great! He just says he feels like there is something missing with us. But, it only takes him a couple of weeks to start calling me again saying he misses me and loves me. I know i am a bit at fault because I keep taking him back. I just want to know why he finds it necessary to break up with me when chances are, he will just want me back in a week?

What are the best ways to make him realize how much i love and care about him! It's very tough to put things into guys brain! They don't think like girls....more or less they won't be even worrying how much we would feel. Some guys are very hard to understand girls mind....how can i show him that i love him a lot!

How can you convince a guy what you saying was right! When it comes to understanding....guys can be tough to deal with! They tend to look from their point of view! How can you convince them that they are wrong or at least make them think of what you are saying? In what ways you can explain to him about something that would make him think about it! For example i don't think it's a good time to explain or try to say something when we fight or had arguments so what i do most of the times i tell him my points and if he doesn't i'll yell so badly and we fight and that night or next morning i'll be writing him a long e-mail explaining what he did was wrong and why i feel that and stuffs!....

I read men think of sex every 58 seconds and women think of it once a day. So, men are always being criticized by women as being oversexed. But face it girls, if we only thought about it once a day like you, odds are it would be at different times and we'd never get it done and the species would die out. BTW I thought abot it twice typing this so you can use it to calculate my typing speed as well. Very practical.

My ex and I sorted out an agreement with regards to our son's maintenence payments. Neither of us saw the point in going through the CSA when we could sort it out between oursleves amicably. Forgive my ignorance on this issue but is this ok? do we need to declare this to any agency or office? I don't really know how it all works. We are both working full time and the only benefit I recieve is child benefit.

My high school boyfriend and I dated for over 4 years and have been apart for 3, In that time I have had a baby, and his best friend and cousin has died. Our lives have changed so much, but I still can't stop thinking about him. When I had my son 9 months ago, alls I kept thinking is the last time I loved someone this much is when I was with him. I'm 20 and he just turned 21, we have VERY different priority's, but we are still in love with each other. He drinks nearly every night, and as his concerned friend and a mother, I don't want him to be around my son when he's like that. I also hate seeing him drown his problems with alcohol. We hung out for the first time in a long time, he and I ended up cuddling at the end of the night... I'm not sure if it was the alcohol, or if he really wanted to. I can't get him off my mind, but I don't want to push it, I am finally getting to be apart of his life again, I just can't figure out how to help him...

Why is it some guys find it so necessary to get drunk with their friends on a regular basis? I think its fun every once in a while, but I guess i just don't see the appeal.

Ok, I'm getting married in 1 and a half months. My parents don't agree to it because 1.) I'm 20 (gonna be 21 in april) 2.) He's in the army 3.) He stood up to my dad when my dad was being very hateful towards me. We have been dating for 3 years, been engaged for a year and a half. We've been thru a lot together especially with him being gone to Iraq and just returning 2 months ago. I cant seem to get my point across to them especially my dad and now i dread even calling them. What should I do?

we broke up the week prior, and i stopped to leave her a note on her righ, and discovered another rig there. about a week after she moved out for "space". I stewed about it for hours and then beat on her door looking for answers. she has since accused me of stalking her..this was the first and last time i'd been by since the breakup..and we talked after the incident, but she essentially didn't want to explain her actions, and told me to not talk to her again..that was a week ago, and I haven't contacted her since that last conversation, save to send her an email (directly after getting of the phone and being told to leave her alone) telling her that i wasn't upset with her, and that while i was unhappy with her actions of moving on so quickly, that i would still like to be her friend when we get some time behind us and the situation. I just left it open ended and in her court. no contact since....going on a week, and i don't plan on contacting her. did i react wrongly? thoughts ppl?

I am a female in my late 20s about to sign a lease and live alone for the first time. I love the apartment, and it is surrounded by lots of people and activity. I do have a boyfriend who lives nearby as well. However, the building does not allow pets so when I am in my apartment, I will be there alone. Anyone out there who lives alone -- do you enjoy it? Any advice for making it work? Is it a bad idea to sign up for a building that won't allow pets?

I am a single Mum of 3 who suffered my ex having done terrible things to me and our children. I have survived and my kids are doing great. I have worked hard to provide for them and it has paid off. Time has come for me to have a relationship & he is a wonderful man who loves me and my children - there is true trust and respect here. I am being told that I am wrong for putting this man on the same level as myself and putting our relationship equal to my children. What kind of example am I setting for my children if I always put them above everything - why is it wrong to put them equal to the man I love and who loves me. Friends and outside family are always telling me I must continue to put the kids above everything - even myself - but if my children are stable, doing well and on their way to becoming productive members of society and this new man is supportive of that - why does everyone tell me I am wrong?

As hard as it was, I finally let go of my ex. She's moved on with someone else. Problem is, she knows EXACTLY how much I care and love her and even though she's told me before that we're done completely, it's become so routine to where she comes back later with, "I miss you, love you, etc"...this time she told me she's trying to have a more faithful relationship with her new gf. So she told me we can be strictly friends or nothing. I told her nothing cuz I knew how I felt and a friendship wouldn't work. But yesterday, like a dummy, I text her asking her for forgiveness and taking up her offer on a friendship. She was hesitant, but then agreed. We don't really talk, and even though I had that hope of us gettin' back together, I'm tired. I'm strong enough to walk away, but not as strong when my phone rings and it's her. I haven't called her at all, and I won't...but my ques is, do ex's usually come back after awhile??? Why DO THEY come back??? Games? boredom with their recent love?

I am 18 yrs old (female) and have decided to join the Marine Corps. I am the oldest of 3 kids, my mother is a single parent who is currently not had a job after being layed off 7 yrs ago from a job she had for 18 yrs. My father is not actively involved in my life, he has been a custodian for Colombia University the past 17 years. I want better for myself, so i have chose the military as a stepping stone to shape a career. I figure its better to do it this way than have to work and go to college, in which i will be working to pay off college. I feel like i am in a predicament but i am sure this is something i would love to do. I understand the circumstances and the risk which i am willing to take. I just wonder am i being selfish to my mother and siblings at home? Is this the right way to set an example for those i have looking up to me?

I am trying to plan a romantic evening for my boyfriend. We are getting married when he comes in from R&R. So far I have a limo to pick him up at the airport, going straight to a hot tub room at a hotel, where I will have fondue and wine and for dessert chocolate fondue. I am trying to make this a night to remember. Got any ideas for me?

I am 26 years old and my ex fiance is 30. We were in a 7 year relationship. He left me 2 months ago. He told me he wasn't in love with me anymore and he moved out. 2 weeks later I found out that my now ex best friend and him are together and he moved in with her. We planned to have a baby in October and I actually got pregnant right away - I am now 4 months pregnant and he says that he will be there for our child... I don't understand why he gave up on our life together as a family after we planned this. What do I say to him to make him realize has broke my heart, but I want him to walk away from her and come back to his soon-to-be family? I've asked him to come back already, but he told me that he can't just walk away from her because he cares about her...what about me and the baby??? I don't want to give up but he told me time has passed and he moved on. I can't accept this without a fight! I know I sound desparate but maybe he is waiting to hear the right words from me...
