We have been together for quite some time. While purchased gifts are nice, I want to give him something more heartfelt. This is only part of my problem. I dont want to make him a scrapbook, cd mix, or coupons. Help?

I've used this in another answer on Yahoo, but thought it might be an appropriate idea for you too...
We also have enough "stuff" so I wanted to make something for my husband. I found the sheet music to "our song" online, cut and pasted it into word and then printed it on some pretty paper I got at the craft store. I also got a larger sheet that I mounted the sheet music onto. The larger sheet had gold inlay and was just beautiful. I printed the music onto a piece of paper that had a gold shimmer to it, but was just a little see-through, so the paper underneath came through.

Then just frame it nicely! Now, neither of us play an instrument, but the music itself with the meaningful words is quite lovely. Good luck with whatever you decide!

If you know how to knit, a scarf would be nice and can be made simply and quickly. Instruction books are available. Just get the simple ones and have fun.

Make him a quilt if you are able to sew.
