I have a family member who is extremely negative. I would not associate with her if I didnt have to, but I do. She is a know it all, passive agressive, rude person. She is also a hypochondriac, and always has a new ailment or mystery disease to complain about. I have to see her in order to see another family member that I love dearly. He is miserable with her, as she controlls his entire life, but I know he will never leave her. He is too afraid to be alone. How do I tolerate & respond to someone so toxic....We have to eat Thanksgiving dinner there on Thursday.

My 15 year old son had a 17 year old girl over yesterday. He is allowed to have female company as long as his door remains open. I called him in here last night to ask him a question about the computer and she followed him in here. Now this is the first time I have ever met this girl was yesterday. She says "Don't worry, he is still fully dressed" and she starts giggling. I looked at her and I said "He better be!" Now, for the teen girls, is this just how ya'll talk now or is this out of the ordinary? Parents of sons...what would you of said/done?

As a husband, I try to be as supportive of my wife. I do all the cooking, cleaning, laundry in the house, as well as take care of paying the bills and plan for our future. I also run my own business. I have a 10,000 sq ft. office, with about 15 employees. I enjoy doing things for myself. My grandma always said," why make others do things when you are capable of doing things yourself". It is a philosophy I try to live by. When I got married, I thought my wife would help out around the house, freeing up some time, so we can spend some quality time with each other. She exagerrates that she can cook, I have yet to see an attempt. She may atempt to start cleaning, but leaves things half-way. She spends most of her time watching TV (80%). I've even gone to the extent of telling her that even if she does nothing, don't make any additional work for me, but nothing registers with her. I tried not cleaning the house hoping she would, but after 3 weeks, I had to clean. I don't know what to do.

Of course, we LOVE MOST of our relatives; but, some of them are only related to us by BLOOD! Realistically, they can be mean, argumentative, negative, etc. Do you have one? Someone told me once, 'We spend our holidays with people we spent ALL YEAR trying to AVOID!'.. HAHA.

My boyfriend cheated on me and the way I found out was the girl called my phone and asked how I knew him well since then he has been acting real funny like how he was when I 1st thought he was cheating and I feel he is what should I do he never asks to see me anymore or take me out anywhere every time I bring up the fact that I barely trust him he gets real mad and says..."If your gonna question me we dont need to be together" so do you think he is still cheating??? The only time he does call me if he calls me is at 2:30 in the morning and then sometimes he doesnt even call I call him...Alot of times he has his phone off and tells me it was charging what do I do??? that his mom was leasing and paying for us. I agreed to help out with some of the rent. All the while that we lived there, my boyfriend did not have a job, and his car broke down (which he said is my fault bc I didn't have a car then,and he took me alot of places). We fought everyday, about little and big issues alike. I told him weeks before I moved that I was very depressed, and that I wanted to move out.. we ignored our fights for several weeks, and after I threw him a huge bday party and gave him a $300 gift, we started fighting again daily, because of his lack of appreciation, his friends trying to advise our relationship when it wasn't asked etc.. believe me, I did my share of wrong things. When started fighting worse when money problems arrised(his mom pays everything for him!! So one weekend, I decided to buy a car, and he was mad bc he decided not to come, and he couldnt believe I still bought a car without his consent/presence.. I arrived to our house, we fought and I packed my things and left.. I felt bad leaving, but he didn't stop me. He is claiming that I used him for his car/house and now that I have a car i left.. He has only held a job for six months out of his life and I was tired of being the breadwinner.. I left for mental sanity but all his friends say I should have offered to pay for his car to get fixed before I bought mine.. who is right?

i really fancy this guy.ive know him a while.hes has been chasing me for ages even when i was with my ex fiance.

ive only met up with him 3 times.we live in different towns and only meet by chance if we are out in town together.he texts me when hes out to see if i am out and i do the same.it can be weeks before we meet up!!

we have only kissed despite him wanting to take things a little further.he asked if i was enjoying the single like and i said yes.

hes always complimenting me,wants to be around me and buys me drinks.i always catch him looking at me.he always makes conversation with and takes an interest in me.

i was in his town this weekend so i text him.he wasnt out but he started to flirt with me in his texts.he told me to let him know in advance when im in his town again.

i told him that i fancy him and asked him when he was going to ask me out on a date.he said that he thinks hes around this saturday.thats how things were left.

their nan is allways calling my daughters ugly and thick my youngest she likes only she laughs at her voice calling her a mouse and my middle one her just qualified as chorister she says sounds like a cat and is fat and ugly and well the eldest is just fat ive had it out with her but it only stops for a day or 2 they see her every day and i cant stop her from seeing herbecause she picks them up from school she is a good nangiving them what they want but her insults are hurting their feelings

He knows my cuzin and she lives near him and when she found out that i was going out with dis dude that i guess she likes she told him all this stuff that i did that isn't true and i tried to explain to him that it isn't but he said that he believes my cuzin cuz he knew her longer than he knew me.Everytime i call his phone he won't pick it up or anything he'll just let it ring until it goes to his answering machine. in this last year, my partner...who left his wife for me a year and a half ago after the marriage was failing (i did not get involved with him until he was certain the marriage was over) has hurt me over and over again...first he battled with stress and depression but i understood that and stuck with him...he then tried to leave the country because of debt problems, but told me he loved me so i got a loan to consolidate the debts...and i thought things were getting better but i recently found out a girl at his work was hitting on him and he was flirting back, i confronted him on it and we fought and he said he would stop but i dont know if im doing the right thing to stay after all the hurt, his divorce has not even went through and his old flat has not even been put on the amrket yet so he can get the money he is due from it. I love him but i don't know if im doing the right thing by staying. We live together and have quite a large loan to pay off. Please help!

Soon I will have the opportunity to choose what college I want to go to for the next four years. My parents are pressuring me to stay at home while going to a community college, the thing is I have great grades and I also would not be able to major in what I have wanted to do for many years. Is this selfish? They are mad because they think I want to go away just to be with my boyfriend, but he is not even the reason why I decided to go away...he was completely surprised when I told him I was moving near him to go to a college that is near his. Is it wrong for me to want to leave? I do not even have a good relationship with my parents and I will be paying for college. Should I leave home?

My boyfreind and I have been living together for almost 2 years now. We split the rent 50/50.

Usually he will write me a check for his half and I'll write the land lord the check in the full amount. We did this reversed (I wrote him a check and he wrote one to the land lord)once and he bounced the check to the land lord. We went back to the original way.

Recently he has bounced 3 months worth of checks to me. And keeps re-writing them telling me they should go through. I get mad and yell at him for not managing his money better, but I don't know what else to do.

The only solution I could think of was to open a checking account just for rent. And for us each to deposit our respective checks into it 10 days ahead of time *to give it time to clear. Then write a check to the land lord. Please help!
