I thought I had met the life of my life 2 years ago, he was everything I wanted in a man, a loving father to his children from a previous relationship, a hard working, responsible, kind-hearted, man....(these are few and far between). He had a great job with benefits...then we moved in together. At first things were great I went to school to pursue my life long dream of working in the medical field and he paid the bills, I got preganant and he got layed off he promised me he would find something, well it has been 2 years since tehn, 2 children later, a bank levy, I had to put school on hold and work full time and we are just makin g it by, meanwhile he sits home all day and has not filled out one application. I no what I want to do, leave, but what about the babies, they are so young and they love him so much they spend every moment with him.......

My mom says that I should not spend thanksgiving with my boyfriend and his family unless I am engaged to him and that I should spead it with my own instead. I explained to her that I would spend thanksgiving with his family and he would spend christmas with mine
Why could she feel this way? What does this mean that I am with him and his family on Thanksgiving in terms of our relationship?

Without bragging please. If you've been with someone for a year or so, and you're past your early 20's, I'd like to hear your thoughts!

Why can you not respond specifically without emailing or Im to someone who write such bashing remarks to you. If everyone is able to read their remarks to you then why can't I respond where everyone can see what I say back to them.

When I was in fourth grade my parents made me move to a new neighborhood and new school. Before I moved I was this little tiny girl. Now I am 22 years old and am overweight (not exceeding 200lbs). I have struggled with my weight since junior high school.

Now since I am old enough to go the bars with my friends. I have noticed that they always get free drinks. They are these skinny and pretty girls. I get so down because I can never get free drinks. My friends would always get boyfriends and I have the worst trouble.

I think this world revolves around how you look and how much you weigh. Does anyone agree with me?

If ur close female friend tells you this:(after I told her how I felt)…..

1) "I can't imagine you not being in\a part of my life" MEANING???
2)"I don't deserve your feelings"? MEANING???

Positive or negative comments? Significant?

p.s. We are attracted to each other--thats a fact(not my misinterpretation)we’re still friends and in touch…

Usually it's the man that has the problem, but in my case, it's my wife that keeps going in that direction. I keep telling her to stop, but she won't listen. No amount of me talking to her about how bad it is has convinced her. She also expects me to watch with her, which makes me more upset because she's also trying to get me to go that way, and I used to never watch that sort of thing!

Aren't there any honest, decent men left in this world? How does an attractive woman, not a perfect body-but not gross, in her early 50's find someone she can talk to without them being a predator?

Continued from Am I doing something wrong ? (2). I was helping my in-laws move house and organizing their personal effects was a nightmare. Their house was a dump(both inside and out), stuff everywhere, there personal finances were in shambles. They had tons of unopened envelopes - I found a cheque for $2000 which was over 2 years old. The mortgage rate they were paying was 12% and they were in so much debt, I wanted to cry. I helped them sort everything out. My wife (she was my girfriend at the time) cried when her parents bought their current dwelling, saying she was finally proud to call it home. I beileve that the experience of living in such a situation, might have inculcate this "lifestyle".
I feel that maybe I have done something wrong in my life to deserve to be treated like this. Thank you to everyone for reading and for your words. Maybe the problem exists within myself, not in my wife. I love her too much, she is the reason for my existence. I don't know what else to say.

My aunt just lost her husband in a devastaing arson fire/suicide that completely destroyed her 3 year old house. Her children have turned against her and blame her for the disaster, her husbands family is giving her a hard time and she just found out that her homeowners insurance, and life insurance policies may not pay out, due to the nature of the claims. Are there any support services out there for victims or tragedy like this? She lost everything, her husband, her home, her business, now her family is giving her s@#t. She has put the children in counsling to help them deal with their grief, I want to support her and help her in anyway that I can. I'm just not sure where to start. Can you imagine what she must be going through?

Firstly, thank you to everyone who has taken the time to answer. I should mention that the measly 1000 characters is not nearly enough space to fully detail my frustrations., but I will try. My wife is well aware of the problems, she is very lazy. I have a good relationship with my in-laws and my mother-in-laws mother. Evryone one of them empathizes with me, but cannot face her one -on-one or even as a family - they are scared to. For as long as I have known my wife, she has terrorized her family - what she says goes. She uses profanity with her family, which I think is inappropriate. She tells her mom to "f*** off". She justifies this by saying that this is what works for her family. I have known her family well enough to see the root of the problem - her parents. She constantly tells me that her parents treated her more as a friend, than parents. There was never any discipline in her life, nor in her parents lives.....continued in Am I doing something wrong ?
