Are you talking about death? If so you have to think about what is best for the person you love. Are they in pain? Will they be better off if they die? Do you want to keep them alive for you and not let them go so they can finally rest? Losing my grandma was horrible but it was best for her. Its hard to deal with and everyone deals with it differently. I grieve before and during the funeral. After I remember the good things and talk about the person. I still feel sad when I think about her and sometimes tear up but I know she is better than she was.

It depends on the reason for letting them go. If you love someone then often you don't think of them as a possession you think of them as a part of you but if circumstances require that you seperate be open and honest about it.
I lost a woman i loved very very very much and to this day i think of her and carry her in my heart and i pray often that she is happy and well. As long as she is happy then that is consolation enough it may not be with me but if she was hurting then i could not bear it. To know she suffers would bring me misery.
Just because you love someone doesn't mean you will be with them.

of course.. TRUE LOVE means you will do what is Best for that person.. even if it means letting them go. i think u do what u can to try to "make" them stay..but if you must, you MUST let them go....
it is the hardest thing in the WORLD to do..... but u have to trust that your love is Worth something. rejection is horrible, makes u feel like CRAP, but in truth, u have to be Proud of urself, that u are capable of loving someone That Much. that is Awesome..be proud, and know that u are worth something, and even if this person rejects or leaves you, instead of making u feel negatively about urself, be strong that u will find someone who will Appreciate ur intense love and care.

it really depends on the circumstances but knowing me: i wouldnt let them go if i REALLY LOVED them.... i would find a way somehow to make it work....
you should've really went into a bit more detail with your problem tho hun so i could've given you more specific advise...
