My friend describes me as a 'true' friend, which I have to agree. I don't describe her as one though, I'm afraid. She keeps going on about not having a husband and how much she wants sex. I'm 1½ years older than her and I too would love a husband, but I 'restrain' myself from boring/harping on about it to people. I don't believe it's fair. Anyway, each time she rings me she says the same thing over and over. Now and again I say that I'm in exactly the same situation as her, but it doesn't seem to make any difference - it all goes back to her again. She moans about how long she's been living in her flat (19 years) and how nothing changes for her. I reply, "Well, look at me, I've been in the same home for 36 and nothing's changed for me either!" Still nothing changes her thinking. What would you do with someone like that? She's got 2 strapping brothers and I have none but one parent. I even told her to be grateful for her brothers in a letter, but nothing changes her thinking

We were discussing friendship. I said he was one of my best friends. He said I wasn't one of his best friends. He said that he might be one of my best friends, but I wasn't one of his best friends. I was somebody he could count on, but I wasn't one of his best friends.

So my question is
How does this happen? And how often?
Two people have totally different views of their friendship.
How did I get such a low status. He had told me he wanted to be as important to me as my best friend is. I gave him that status. One day he referred to me as his co-worker. How can he want me to elevate him to as big as my best female friend...but I don't get the same respect?


I asked him what I was. He said a good friend, my roll dog.

it 14 years old and when i have guy friends the main thing they focuse on is my chest and my butt and i find it kinda funny but at the same time wierd and always ask me what size am i on top.they are my friends so i don't want to stop being their friend because of that reason and no i don't dress like a slut,hore,hooker,etc. so no one should say thats the reason i wear clothes that fit they are not tight but not baggy...can you guys tell me why they do that and what can i do so the can focuse on me and not my body...please and thatk you

I have a female friend. She lives 25 miles away from me. Sometimes, she asks me to go to a nightclub and states that we can hang out together at that time. I drive to her home, pick her up,and take her to this place another 25 miles away. I take her back to her home when the night is over. Her friends (all guys) are sometimes down there as well. There have been a couple of times that when the place closes, she will go off with another one of her guy friends to their place.(She has been in a sexual relationship with them at one time or another). She states that she isn't going with them to do anything sexual, its just friends stuff. She acts surprised when I am put off by her behavior. She says that I shouldn't have a problem with it since her and I are "just friends". I am asking you, if you were in that situation, would you consider it disrespectful behavior?

We always been together like twin since 3 years old to 25 yrs old (currently)

I been working & studying since after high school & complete my degree & married at age 23

@ 25 i have my own home & car

she just got full time job JUZ 3 yrs ago & engage to an ossey boy

she change so much and so arrogant & keep comparing about her life with me

i didnt want to say back anything even though everyone know im so much richer & my huby is a manager & hey guy a technician

But im the one who always give in & she the one so stuck up!

She even start to insult others now even my own parents!

i really hate her but i dont want to ruin our years of relationship

What should i do ? Should i just keep quite?

Today my girls friend Cori was over and my older daughter Cassie wanted to tell my younger daughter Kari a secret in private but Cori would'nt leave them alone cause she thought the secret might be about her, I told Cori to let Cassie tell Kari the secret alone and she said "if it is about me I have a right to hear it" I feel if Cassie wanted to tell Kari a secret in private it is none of Cori's business what it is even if it is about her, what is your opinion?

My school can be not so nice. It's a small, private school with less than 20 kids per grade. Next year is the starting day, and my bff and I were wondering how to get along with the kids there. I lied to my best friend. i told her events of my past and made them seem like they're in the present. i kno what i did was wrong, and then she accepted what i did and was my friend. then somethin else came up and she blamed me for somethin i didn't do. so now she won't even speak to me anymore. all i want is to be her friend. i have no idea why she means so much to me but she does. i cant concentrate anymore. it's like somethin's missin. it hurts right now knowing we might not be friends again. but i dont want that to happen. please, please help

im in a group of 4 friends
they are al my best friends, but they always seem to have so much more fun without me =/
while i was on vacation they all got together and had a blast and i asked watd you guys do and they said had fun
and it seems like they are giving me the cold shoulder
no one calls anymore
on aim they never say hi
and they make plans without me
is it time to move on?

I have known my best guy friend for about 7 years and we see him with his family about once every 4 or 5 months. They're family friends. He used to be sort of dark and emo because he had this girlfriend who was dark and emo who he was like in love with so he wanted to impress her. He even became a vegetarian for her! But about 7 months ago, his parents forced him to break up with her because she was interfering with his schoolwork, like he was hanging out with her too much and stuff. I've been with my girlfriend for 4 years and we are both 26. She's 33 weeks pregnant. I am going to leave her since the baby is going to come. I was only with her after I got her pregnant so I can have as much sex as I can with her since she couldn't get pregnant anymore after she is pregnant. So should I leave her?

Ok I have an older friend who was my past college teacher last semester. We have grown close and had lunch and all that and I have been to her house to see her new baby. Well a couple of weekends ago I had bought a gift for her baby and I wrote her in an email telling her, and she wrote me back and told me that I was welcome to come by in the evening that week sometime, and I answered her on that but she never emailed me and confirmed. I have written her a second time a few days ago just to remind her but she still hasn't responded. I understand that she started school and is now teaching again and also has a fairly newborn baby... but I dont understand why she would tell me to come over but never confirm. She has never gone this long w/out responding either and I didnt write anything rude in the emails. What do you think.. I really need to give that gift b/c it is a baby outfit for 0-3 months and her baby is already almost 2 months!... I dont know what her deal is!

Me & my ex-boyfriend are still friends & doing things together. Some of the same we did while dating like going out to eat, movies & bowling. We aren't doing everythig that like before, but other than sexual things & talking to one an other about our love its not a big difference. I still love him with all my heart & soul. my friends mom wasnt nice to my mom and now my mom wont let me go over there again, im allowed to hang out with her just now go to her house to sleepover or anything like that. I went out this weekend with some of my buddies. We ended up in a sports bar and before we went in a friend of mine says "If I get in a fight you have my back right?"
Now understand we are all mid 30's have kids, wives, (or at least ex wives LOL) Houses, cars, and several of us own our own businesses. Back in college and high school, fights were no big deal and we had our share, but at our age?
I said "No I don't, if you pick a fight your on your own"
Was I wrong? Of course if someone attacked him for no reason I would've helped, but risking my life, my kids future, ect.... didn't seem worth it. Any thoughts?
