I have known my best guy friend for about 7 years and we see him with his family about once every 4 or 5 months. They're family friends. He used to be sort of dark and emo because he had this girlfriend who was dark and emo who he was like in love with so he wanted to impress her. He even became a vegetarian for her! But about 7 months ago, his parents forced him to break up with her because she was interfering with his schoolwork, like he was hanging out with her too much and stuff. Anyway, today me and my best friend who is a girl, so not the guy one, were at the mall. We ran into him at American
Eagle! I hadn't seen him in about 4 months, so that's all summer, and now he stopped being emo all of a sudden after he broke up with emo girlfriend. He was really sweet and my best friend who is a girl left us alone for about 6 or 7 minutes in the store because she knows I like him. So we were near the sunglasses rack and we were flirting, putting sunglasses on each other. what do u think?

And if he does like me, what can I do anyway? How can I tell? I don't want to ruin our friendship. OH and btw, all answers that say I should just tell him will be deleted. And not chosen as best answer. So if you want 10 points, I suggest you give some real advice of other ways I can show him I like him.

Just be you and quit trying to control whether he likes you or not. Be nice to him, show interest in what he has to say, and you might be surprised. Looks like you're off to a good start with having fun trying on the sunglasses together. Give it a little time though.
Oh, and give your best friend [girl] a gold star for leaving you two alone for a few minutes. She indeed, is a friend.

maybe you should just keep hanging out with him more, and keep flirting you might want to do stuff to get you guy's relationship out of the friend zone. And don't let 4 or 5 months go by without having some contact with him. call him up and see how he's doing

u should ask ur best friend to set a day where u and him can meet up and hangout
get to know each other more
exchange phone numbers
and if things go well
u should go for it
u never know until u try
