It is normal to change withing the 22 years. Interests change, priorities change.
I think that she feels jealous, so she puts you down so that she may feel good about herself.
I think you should speak up, after 22 years you both should be able to talk about anything and everything. I personally would not put with it.
best of luck.

ok well... i know that all these years may seem like alot to you. but you need to learn to grow apart from this person. maybe find a friend that can help you get through this best friend break up.....???
i know it will be hard... at least try.... maybe she will come around and realize that she has been rude. you never know she may change... if not.... just move on.
and about saying i am so much richer than her. that isnt right for you to say that. this may cause problems also... if you have said things like this to her.... it may become a competition for comebacks... and you dont want that.... if she says something rude then just ignore and move on with your day adn life!!!:)

This happens a lot and you just have to get on with your own life and make some new friends. Just tell her straight out:
"If you can't change your arrogant ways I don't want anything to do with you anymore". Lifes too short to be miserable over things like that.

ur relationship is already stained. maybe she is complexed, and behave so. try to make her feel better. try to be even more nice to her maybe she will over come.
if u cant continue with her just keep some distance but dont breakup. things change with time and may change further.

Tell her that after all of these years of friendship you expect more of her. Tell her that she is ruining your friendship. Tell her that if she does not quit acting like a jerk, you would rather not be friends with her anymore. She is not your friend any longer. Friendship does not make you miserable.

She is simply jealous of you. No need to argue with her, what you can do is to stay away from her slowly. It is wicked of her to insult your parents!

hating your friend is not the way to go. friends do not normally hate friends.
as i read your comment, it sounded like you like to promote yourself.
you need to look up the word 'humility'
