A mature person would be able to see their ex in public and not be scared. your ex girlfriend probably knows you're going, but she's still going isn't she??
Go to the party! Have a good time and forget about your ex! Show her what she's missing out on, show her that you'll go on living your life the way you want it and that she can't effect it! Good luck! Go for it dude!

Dear Be@n$,
Tell your friend that the reason you prefer not to attend the party is because seeing your ex there would make you feel uncomfortable and knowing this would and could put a damper on his party. If he's a cool dude I am certain he will see things through your eyes. Your being very mature and wise to steer clear of a potential blowup with another. That's really a wise decision on your part. It's not the only party he will ever have. You decided to sit this one out and I think you are making the right choice. Your friend will feel more sad for you than himself I'm sure. But there will be other parties. So just know that your doing a smart thing and I think your cool for that.
p.s.
I hope your friend realizes what a good and decent guy you seem to be!!
Sincerely,
Marseille

i thing you should go to your friends birthday he would surely like it as he is your friend but if you won't go he would feel bad. In a person's life one of the best days is his birthday. people do not call for formalities but calls them because their friends. I know that person who called u means u a friend that is why he called u on his birthday. u would feel bad when u would meet your ex-girlfriend but don't bother her. Once you're in the party mood no one would be able to get u out.

So you're going to miss out on fun and stay crammed inside your house because of an ex-girlfriend?
You should just go and keep your distance with your ex as much as possible. Don't let one person ruin your evening.

I personally would go. Hang out with your friends, adn when she sees your having a good time without her, then thatll be that. Shes probably just as nervous to see you. I have yet to run into any of my ex'es of course itd probably be an all out brawl, and yes, as a girl even I would win.
But she wont mess with you if nothing else shell come say hi and ask how you are. and thatll be that.

Just go to the party. Life's too short to sweat the small things. Your ex will be there right? Just keep your distance from her & you'll be fine. Just go & have fun.

your friend should understand really, if he/she is a true friend. Just tell them and im sure they will be o.k with it or maybe you could tell yor friend that if your friendship means more then tell her its not a good idea she comes to the party. Or just go and have a great time and ignore her.

just dont be awkward. go to the party and avoid your ex and if you run into her then just act normal. dont think about it too much, because if you do itl just get too complicated.
and if you really dont wanna go, just call your buddy up and tell him you dont wanna be around your ex so you think youre gonna wait til he has another party or somethin.
dont worry so much about the ex's. its best to not be awkward around them, as long as something extreme didnt happen.

go to the party don't let her bother you hang out with your friends do whatever but also don't go up to her and talk to her at all if you end up talking to her try and just get out of it but don't make it all awkward for anyone else and if the party isn't fun because of her leave apologize to your friends and leave
but i am sure that you wont even end up having to talk to her because chances are she might be avoiding you to
