What does it matter. You shouldn't judge people just for what they believe in.Just as long they are great people then that should all be all the matters! Plus more people will like you if you are kind to everyone!

I don't think that for you to have friends they have to be christians. If you consider yourself a well known christian you should make friends in any way. That's when you have the chance to preach the word of god. You might probably save some lives for god like that. There's alot of people out there that are thirsty for the word of God. A true friend is him/her that loves that person no matter where their from. Sweety take care and hope you take this advice and put it deep down your heart. One question-----Does the pastor let go of his sheeps just because their not his kind?

Think about the characteristics of a Christian, according to the list of the Fruit of the Holy Spirit found in Galatians 5:22, 23... love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, self control.
If you observe carefully, and you see someone with these characteristics, they might well be a Christian!!
And, if you exhibit these characteristics, you will attract like-minded people to yourself.

Ask them if they are Christian, it's just that simple. But even as a Chrisitian it's important to have friends who aren't there isn't anything wrong with having friends that aren't. God didn't want us to eliminate anyone from our friendship, Jesus didn't discriminate and neither should you. True Christian behavior is showing love and friendship to ALL people.

i think what you might mean is that you want friends that have the same christian morals and values as you that way you know that they will not influance you to do anything against your beliefs and i dont think there is anything wrong with that except just remember that not everyone is christian but they still have high morals and values and dont do "bad" things that could get you in trouble if you hang out or be friends with them, im not christian but i dont do bad things and i have high morals and values, would u be my friend?(think about it)

God has only one heart, get to know people, who they are thier morales... thier character.
If a boy calls himself christian, then treats all others with no respect is this the friend you want?
And if another boy calls himself something else, and "Loves his neighbor as himself" Does he not model his heart after god?
You can call a wolf a sheep, but it still remains a sheep... and you can call a sheep a wolf and but that doesn't make it a lamb.

If you attend church, try going to a meeting at your church youth group. It's a great place to meet new people. And if you know of one or two other Christians in your class, invite them to attend a youth group meeting. If you don't go to church, start by going to one and inquiring about their youth programming.

Otherwise, look for how a person acts/behaves. If he or she is modeling the behavoir of Jesus, then it's a pretty good indicator that he or she is a believer.

Well, you could start by asking them. If you don't feel like doing that, then surely you can observe if they seem to follow Christian teachings.

However, I really caution against you only befriending Christians. You will miss out on a lot of wonderful, enriching friendships if you cut everyone who is not Christian out of your life.

Hey I'm a christian and i had the same problem in school. Going to a public school is hard, with all the temptation around. It helps to find friends at church and those are usually, according to my case, your best friends. It is ok to have non-christian friends, it can even help them come to God. If you want to know for sure if they are christian ask them. They won't kill you for asking

I think that you should make friends with other people not only Christians.
And I think if you want a girlfriend you should know her well enough to know if she's a Christian or not.
And eighth grade is much too young for girlfriends.
