Friends - January 2007

Ok so I dated this guy for a year and we were eabout to move in together. One day we're on the phone and he casually says, "This girl, Andrea, at work has a crush on me." That's all, didn't bring it up again. Two week later he breaks up with me....ahem, actually says he "wants a break." And we were suppose to move in together in two weeks from the break. So three weeks after the break, in which during those three weeks he said 'I hope it's us in the end' when I called him, he is living with and dating this girl, you guessed it, Andrea. A month or so later he calls me up and says he broke up with her bcause she was cheating on him and kicked her out. He started saying he loves me, sorry, missed me, thought about me even when he was with Andrea. So we unofficially got back together, in that just talked like we did before, etc. He even said he wanted to go on vacation together. So three weeks after that he says he just wants to party, be single, etc, and says I was never his..

My best friend got a promotion at her job recently. She was saying stuff like how it would not change her and she would be much more understanding than the previous supervisor.
In just the past couple of weeks she has been telling me stuff that she has said to people and it's horrible. How do I tell her that she is turning into the person she said she wouldn't?

Ok... me and My best friend have been best friends for 5 years.. and i am only 14... I descided to go to an agricultural High school.. and She stayed.. recently... " new best friends" have come because we dont go to school together anymore... And Can U really Have two best friends?.. Maybe one from new school. and one from Old?.. one pof my friends has been acting totally different after christmas when she got everything she wanted and never had before- uggs, a north face, juicy, abercrombie clothes, hollister clothes, a cell phone, and an iPod. shes been acting all snobby and snotty lately, and i notice that whenever shes wearing cxlothes from abercrombie and theres a rumple on one of the letters, she fixes it, probably to show to people that she goes there, bevcause no one really notices or cares. My sister is really mad at her, because she showed her a coat from abercrombie and a pair of leggingsd from abercrombie, and told my friend that she liked them a lot and was going to get them. my friend went behind our back and got them that weekend. also, she made my sister guess where she got the coat, which is pretty mean. shes been such a brat lately, contradicting everything she says. what should i do? all of my other friends are noticing her bratty behavior too. should we confront her?

me and my best friend have been bestfriend for 12 years. I got married 2 years ago and me and my husband have been together 5 years. When i met him she distanced herself from me for a while and now that we are married she says we stalk each other and that we are crazy and he runs my life. I try and explain to her that once you are married, you have to respect and take into consideration what your spouse says. Also we do call each other alot because we don't see each other ( we both work two jobs) so when we get a free second he or I will call and talk for about 5 mins. Nothing major. She is younger than me, but i do not think she understands what marriage entails. It's not all about me anymore. Could this be jealousy? Why is she acting this way? How can i explain to her that I have different priorities and obligations than she does? How can I get her to respect my marriage?

She is as old as my mom. I am the same age as her daughter. She is trying to hook me up with a new employee. I tell her that I don't date people I work with, but she keeps on pushing. Okay so my friend she really likes this guy and she gave him her phone number one day and said "i wana know what your doing this weekend so call me and let me know." i am so afraid that her feelings are going to get crushed if he doesn't call her cuz over the phone she was all excited about asking him out and so proud of her self that i couldn't tell her "you know he might say no..." and i am so afraid that he wont call her back and her feelings might get crushed... what should I do and what should I say?? last summer I made friends.very very good friends.i could say the best friends i could ever make.I m very grateful!but now i dont see them cause they live elsewhere and they have a lot 2do.but now in school or out of school i am not interested in making other,new friends cause i think of my "summer-friends" and i feel that they are more than enough and i dont need others.So in school many times i wanna be alone and i dont feel my classmates as my friends although i know them much longer and i always saw them as friends.i feel that i dont need them and when they talk 2me they are geting on my nerves.all except my best friend.if sb hurts me or swears on me i just think of my "summerfriends" and i start laughing cause they make me feel more than sure about myself.and without exaggeration i think of them every but EVERY day.although i see them very seldom.but we talk very much (telephone) and they are ALWAYS there and help me if i have a problem(and i miss them) is it normal?

to make a long story short, I'm always uncomfortable around this guy, even when he's not doing anything to me, and it's literally eating away at me. He only made sexual comments to me about 2 months ago, but I consider it sexual harassment. There is nothing left I can do. he sits near me in class sometimes and makes faces and noises at me. I already reported him - I can't report him again for just doing stuff like that. I've tried ignoring him, telling him to stop, everything! Please help!

One of my friends is unreliable with keeping plans -- he just canceled a vacation that cost me $200 and this isn't the first time! If he asks me why I won't hang around with him anymore, can I say BECAUSE I DON'T TRUST YOU or is there some other way to deal with the problem?

1) When there's only one other person in the elvator, tap them on the shoulder and then pretend it wasn't you.

2) Push the buttons and pretend they give you a shock. Smile, and go back for more.

3) Ask if you can push the button for other people, but push the wrong ones.

4) Call the Psychic Hotline from your cell phone and ask if they know what floor your on.

5) Hold the doors open and say your saiting for a friend. After a while, let the doors close, and say, "Hi Greg. How's your day been?"

6) Drop a pen and wait until someone goes to pick it up, then scream, "That's mine!"

7) Bring a camera and take pictures of everyone in the elevator.

8) Move your desk into the elevator and whenever anyone gets on, ask if they have an apointment.

9) Lay down the twister mat and ask people if they would like to play.

10) Leave a box in the corner, and when someone gets on, ask them if they can hear ticking.

11) Pretend you are a flight attendant and review emergency procedures and exits with the passengers.

12) Ask, "Did you feel that?"

13) Stand really close to someone, sniffing them occasionally.

14) When the doors close, announce to the others, "It's okay, don't panic, they open again!"

15) Swat at flies that don't exist.

16) Tell people that you can see their aura.

17) Call out, "Group Hig!"and then enforce it.

18) Grimace painfully while smacking your forehead and muttering, "Shut up, all of you, just shut up!"

19) Crack open your briefcase or purse, and while peering inside, ask, "Got enough air in there?"

20) Stand silently and motionless in the corner, facing the wall, without getting off.

21) Stare at another passenger for a while, then announce in horror, "Your one of THEM!" and back away slowly.

22) Wear a puppet on your hand and use it to talk to the other passengers.

23) Listen to the elevator walls with your stethoscope.

24) Make explosion noises when anyone presses a button.

25) Stare, grinning at another passenger for a while, then announce, "I have new socks on".

26) Draw a little square on the floor with chalk and announce to the other passnegers, "This is MY personal space
