you don't have to ask him out before her or anything...just try to get him to know that you're interested. that way he might have his heart set on you and won't be able to say yes to your friend. tell him you like him, or flirt with him. communicate something to him to make his notice you and to want you more than your friend.

Sounds like you're getting the short end of the stick here, assuming that you are like some other girls that act the secretary (think of Peppermint Patty and Marcy of Peanuts). Well, as kind of an unwritten rule that you step aside when someone declares that she'll be dating 'the hot new guy', it's best to wait and see if something happens to them after the first date. It may sound like a rebound but if she says that it's the one and only date she's going to take with him, then either you make your move or you'll get some interesting info, like, 'the guy's a creep' or 'cool, but too quiet for my own taste' or something like that.
I'm not a girl, but I had my share of dates in high school, and some involve a pair of girls who happen to be best friends.

There is nothing you can do find a new guy there are tons out there. If you ask him first she will be mad at you. If she is your true friend you will move on. I have friends like that. Much better looking than me don't get me wrong I am not to bad myself but all the guys want her. So if we like the same guy it is not even worth me trying to fight her for it. If she dates a lot she probably wont get serious with him but still even then you just need to find a new crush. Good Luck

If she's already mentioned to you (without knowing that you like him) that she wants to talk to him, then you should let her go ahead. I think that's the only fair thing to do. Trust me, you might not see it now, but there will be lots of boys and relationships before you get older and find a perfect guy who you will spend the rest of your life with. Don't even worry about boys right now, they are way too immature at this age to even bother with. Just focus on your schoolwork and your friends and enjoy what school you have left-- you will miss all this one day! Good luck, hun!

Try to ask him out before she does. If you friend knows, that you know she wanted to ask him out. Then I hope she does not accuse you of trying to steal him from her. I have seen and heard of this happening before, if she is really wild about him. But dont pass him up, If he is really nice and not acting nice, then he will be an excellent catch.
Well enjoy, choi.

i would try telling your friend that you really like him, and want to see if anything can happen between you guys. if she is a good friend she will listen and back off. then if he doesn't make a move, try asking him out, what do you have to loose?

tell your friend that it would break you heart if you couldn't go out with this guy.
if she had the heart, she wouldn't ask him and let you have the turn for a chance.
