The question can be put this way. What is better? Life with grandparents involvment or life without grandparents involvement? The other day I had my daughter and wife pick me up to return to my home from my fathers place. He has been sort of vociferous with my daughter and has demonstrated his dissapointment with her enough to not want to encounter him. But we thought about it and decided that we would rather have him mad at us and chew us out upon seeing us instead of him being mad and hurt for not going to his house and seeing him.

Family is a major part of my life. I lost my grandpa 10 years ago and there is not a day that goes by that I do not miss him. My grandmother is still living and I try my best to be in her life and have her in mine as much as possible. The ole saying is true...you never know how much they mean to you till their gone. Treasure them while you have them. I mean they don't have to be in everything that you do but try to include them where you can.

Absolutely, however it really depends on them. For example, if they don't receive respect from the grandchildren; then it would best not.
Older people are a wealth of information and knowledge, but they can also be stuck in the old way of things as well. They deserve all of our upmost respect at all times.

Yes it is....definitely. a child will naturally see that they are the parent's version....yet perfected over time. This way, they are treated with much more patience, encouragement and care than the busy young parent would be. Besides, a healthy older family member benefits younger family members in many ways emotionally, mentally and psychologically.

It depends on the type of people they are and whether you want to be close to them. Your Granparents have a lifetime of experiences and are potentially an additional source of support, Love and affection. They can also be a great source of information about your parent/s and family history. When they're gone so are all their memories.
