My best friend got a promotion at her job recently. She was saying stuff like how it would not change her and she would be much more understanding than the previous supervisor.
In just the past couple of weeks she has been telling me stuff that she has said to people and it's horrible. How do I tell her that she is turning into the person she said she wouldn't?

This would be a tricky situation...because power got to her head and she will probably think that you are just jealous of her.

I would invite her over to dinner and just do the best friend talk for a while and then tell her that you want to talk to her... let her know that she is your best friend and that you love her dearly and that a true friends will be there for her no matter the situation... then let her know that you want to talk to her about something personal... tell her to please listen to you thoroughly and tell her to please don't get upset about it....then explain the situation and let her know that she is becoming what she said she wasn't.

Hope things work out for you!

say:

"you're turning into the person that you said you wouldn't when you got this promotion"

clear concise and straight forward, the way to go.

my advice is simple be truthful, but respectful....tell her that she is not being the same person she was before she got the job...then, say you are my friend, so i thought i'd let u know what i truly think....its upto u to decide how u want to treat people......good luck with it, and let me kn ow how it turns out...

im not sure, but make sure the settings right. dont confront her in a crowded place, sit down with her to talk. try not to make this conversation into a heated debate or an argument. other than that, i dont know.
