if your going to pose provocatively like in your pic, then it COULD be dangerous. It is also dangerous to use your real name, address, phone #, school you attend, etc... And I am in no way trashing you about the way you pose, but there are sickos out there that would see your pic right away and think the worst of you, does that make any sense?

meeting people online or in real life just walking down the street is dangerous. The best thing to do is make sure you always meet whoever it is in a public place to be safe and make sure it's nowhere where you live. But yeah it's dangerous.

It's not dangerous, so to say. The internet is a very large place and there are different people using it. Note that there are pornographers, paedophiles, thieves(Spammers), and there are REALLY nice people on the net. I think it depends on who you are looking for and who you want to meet.
I know some porn stars have sent me some junk mails before, but I am not looking for them and so I don't reply or have anything to do with their mails.
So I'll say you only keep contact with who and what you need. Pronto.

I can vouch from personal experience. Back in 98, way before online relationships became the fad, I met someone in a chat room on AOL. We spoke to each other for a year and then started talking on the phone. We dated and she wound up being my g/f for a long time. I went to her prom and other family gatherings. If you proceed carefully (i.e. talking for a while before meeting someone in an open place), you should be ok.

Yes it is. There are a lot of cons out there. They know how to convince people they are harmless. You just can't tell what a person is really like by chatting with him or her online.

Just use common sense when meeting someone you met online or at a bar.

Yes, you're risking your safety.
Even the people I know in person are different than I thought they were.
