I have a friend that i have been REALLY GOOD friends with for 8 years. I feel like our personallitys have canged and i dont find it fun anymore to be around her. My mom told me that it was just a phase but i have felt this way for the past 2 years. What do you do when you start to lose your bff and you are okay with that? I feel lost and i dont know what to do......help anyone.....help!

I was avoiding her for fear that I might get too close for comfort and her bf might get jealous (her bf is my best friend). My mom said I shouldn't get such things into my head. She won, and I started talking to my friend again. Now, I got too close for comfort and... TICK. TICK. KABOOM! I blew our friendship bigtime! Not only does my best friend hate me now, I also have a problem with her. She wouldn't give me the time of day! I was right in avoiding her in the first place, right? Or is my mom right? I mean, see what happens? What happened to my mom's "Don't worry, that won't happen speech?" IT happened! Now, I hate her, and my one-time best friend hates me! Another problem is I see them at church! And to top it all off, my (former) best friends brother insists that I have a "crush" on my friend (my best friend's gf). Now, I hate him too! Complicated, huh?

I'm 18 and I have a friend and the other day she was telling me a story about her aunt embarrassing her in front of her boyfriend and I got really annoyed and told her that I don't want to hear about her boyfriend. She doesn't talk about him constantly it's just when she does talk about him I get annoyed even if she's just trying to continue a conversation. I've never had a boyfriend before so I don't get all the constant need to talk about someone I'm already dating. We talked it over and patched things up, but she was saying that when I get a boyfriend I'll be the same way so I shouldn't be like rude to her when she talks about her boyfriend. So I'm wondering is it rude to tell your friend that you don't want to hear about them and their boyfriend?

i've known this guy for 7 years. We were always friends, but last year we were pretty close. We shared a lot of things with each other. Except every once and awhile, he'd do something stupid, like make up a bad joke about me. Then i wouldnt talk to him for while and he'd be apologizing. This year, im not if its even the same guy. He's got a girlfriend, and i dont mind, but its the fact he hangs around a whole different crowd of bratty, money bag people and he never speaks to me, except in one class. My other friend says that he talks to him and he thinks he's changed too, but at least the guy speaks to him! Sometimes the guy im having trouble with goes over to my friend's house and acts like a total punk. Then he'll turn around and act like some basketball pro on our team. I'm having trouble understanding his multiple personalities and should i be his friend anymore?
HELP!

I have this friend, and he's awesome. I met him about 10 months ago through an earlier friend, and we've grown very close. However, I think I'm going insane. I'm serious. Even the slightest thing will pull my mind to him; when I'm bored and have nothing to do I find myself almost role-playing inside my head of situations we could be in. I hope I'm not in love with him, but I think I might be. He considers me more than a friend, and he loves me, but not in the "let's go out" kind of sense. He said that he would be willing to die for me, and that it's brother/sister love. I thought that's how I felt too, but now I'm not sure. I seem to be writing tons of poems about him, me, us, and life in general. My friend, who loves him, no less, says that I "depend on him too much". That's probably true. I've had the suspicion that I liked him practically since I met him. Any time I think about him, I get this burst of energy. Is this normal? Am I addicted, insane, in love? Examples would be good.

Okay, this guy never really dances at school dances, he will but not until the dance is about half way over. I ask him and he still stands there and says no, his friends encourage him to though. I'm a senior in high school and for most of my time in school I've wanted to be friends with this one group in particular but I always felt held back. Mianly because I felt obligated to be friends with people who kind of attached to me and wouldn't really have any friends if it weren't for me. But anyway they all seem to have moved away or lost interest in me so at the end of last year I decided that the next year I would not worry about it so much, that I would try not to feel guilty because I had been held back for so many years and figured its senior year I should try to enjoy it as much as I can and make up for lost time. But anyway, I'm so shy that even though they seemed to be very friendly and seemed to give me an opening to be friends with them, I couldn't do it and nothing ever came of it. I tried getting a myspace to talk with them over the internet to show that I wanted to open up a little and stay in touch but i couldn't take the stress and got rid of it, I think upsetting them a little in the process, they were happy I got one. I recently got it back, but the stress is just killing me again and I think I'm getting rid of it again soon. Anyway, the last few months nothing really happened with this group A, but then another girl i like from group B worked on a project with me and one day asked me to sit at lunch with them for one day. I did for the one day but didn't want to look like I had chosen one group over the other because group A has been equally inviting over the years, so I just stopped going to lunch. This has complicated things so much and I just feel trapped. It's made my depression a lot worse, and lately, where I used to try to mingle in groups, I just sit by myself and don't talk, and I'm probably ruining my chances of having friends, but it's gotten to the point where I can't honestly say I care if I'm friends with them sometimes, but other times it just kills me, like when I see pictures of them together and think of what I could've had it makes me so depressed. I'm just getting ready to give up on the whole thing, since I only have a few months to go. Do you think I should do that?

I am so disappointed, pissed, and upset about my friend of 10 years since h.s. I would never have expected that she is a homewrecker. She fell for a guy and he was in a relationship with his gf of 8 years. My friend was the sole cause of their breakup. That guy broke up with his gf of 8 years just to be with my friend. My friend justifies by saying "Is it wrong to be happy?". I think it is so wrong, and I won't accept her bf. Am I wrong to feel this way? I don't want to talk to her for awhile because she disappoint me. If you were in my shoe - what would you do?

My friend (call her Laura) was in a relationship for seven years. He went into the military and was sent to Taiwan. He met a girl there and wrote my friend to tell her he was going to marry her (the Thai girl) Then he stops writing for a while. Then he comes home, but doesn't come to see Laura. He says he is going to in a couple of weeks. Those weeks go by and he says a couple more. Now she's sure he will be here next week. She says maybe he wasn't serious abouut the other girl. I guess the Thai girl is sick and he was helping her get medicine she couldn't get on her own. Sounds kinda fishy to me. I think she should quit scheduling her life around this guy cuz he seems to be stringing her along.

He lives with his girlfriend out of state. I never had too many friends in HS, now that I am older, a few people from highschool have contacted me to reconnect. Actually he was one of the few actual friends I had, we just lost contact6 out of school. He called me about 3 months ago, then last month he got a job out of state. How often is enough?
