The only thing my friend got from her parents for Christmas is $50.
and her parents made this remark "You want a gift? Ha ha, how about getting beat up?"

That is exactly what happened.
She woke up and got nothing, she literally had to beg them to give her someting
And only around 6 pm they gave her the 50 dollars.

I only get one small gift from my daughter that my wife bought, she is only 4 that is it. I have 3 sisters and 1 brother and they don't give me anything so in my eyes it is possible.
