most people that i know all look forward to settling down & getting married and having kids (if they don't already). but it feels like i'm the only one i've ever known who doesn't. i don't want to have kids because from what i've seen, all they do is give you grief and i wouldn't want to raise children in this sick world that we live in anyway. there's too many things & people that could be such a danger to them. i don't want to get married for the simple fact that i've never seen anyone who was married who was satisfied with their husband or wife, my parents included. they've been married for over 20 years and have the most disfunctional relationship i've ever seen, they're like roommates, who only stayed together for the kids. they haven't slept in the same bed in almost 5 years. because of what i've seen (& haven't seen) & experienced growing up, i never want to have kids or marry. i'd be perfectly fine becoming the old cat lady down the street. is it normal to feel this way?

I had an GF for 5 yrs.We had very strong relationship.My family considered her as my wife.But her parents never knew about our relationship..Than i had to come to USA but we were still togather..Wehn i went back to INDIA to get marry to her, she started ignoring me completly..She was very nice with guy, who proposed to her on her work place..For 2 or 3 days i ignored it but after while i couldnt control and i asked her about having any relationship with that guy..She told me that she dont have any thing with that guy but she dont have anymore feelings for me.and she even dont know why she is breaking relationship with me.i loved her,i was keep tryng all good or bad way to get her back.After 3 yrs i find out that she is with that guy whom i doubted on her for..i dropped that matter with all respect..But just confuse that doesnt i had right to know what was the reason behind our broke up..Or if there was reason she should have told me , when i was trying to get her back??

My whole life, the first moment I meet a man, I immediatelly know if I am either very attracted to him (which is mostly strong physical attraction), or NOT AT ALL. It is NOTHING in between. Because of that, I was attracted and had relationships with wrong men either with fatal flaws or with whom I was incompatible. I also met in my life VERY decent,loving, intelligent, educated and theoretically compatible men BUT physical attraction towards them was zero. Few times, I tried very strongly to develop an attraction towards them repeating to myself all the great things in their characters, I gave it time and I was very persistant. But it NEVER WORKED. No, I am NOT attracted to just "bad boys", not at all. I am attracted to photo-model type of guys, and some of them are not the best, but I'm hypnotized by their physical beauty.
Is it possible FOR ME to develop an attraction and love to a man whom I consider great if a physical attraction is NOT THERE at the first place? What should I do?

My story is long, but I will try to make it short. I have been married to my husband 9 years, and have been together 15 years. He has cheated on me, and has a kid with this lady. He keeps in touch with her (supposely because of the kid) which, I dont buy that....N'ways, I am confused. He tells me that he doesn't love her, but I think he does.....He thinks I am extremely jealous....Cause I am always reminding him "that he doesn't pay attention to me or the kids." (We have 3 kids together)..... I just want his attention, but he doesn't give me any..... I send him text messages to tell him how I feel, and he ignores them...... She sends him text messages, and he replies to her messages..... Today, he is ignoring me, he doesn't want to talk on the phone with me, but yet he is calling her and sending her text messages..... I went home for lunch, and he ignored me. I know he doesn't love me, but he won't accept it and tell me the truth!!

My fist love broke up with me 2 weeks ago and its really hard for me to accepted it. She told me to date other girls because she want me to learn how to treat her better. She told me that her friends said we need space and we are not on the same page. Yet we see each other from time to time and we kiss and do all the couple stuff. Hello everyone. I need some advice and an opinion on something. My father in law is 50 years old and almost 350 lbs. He has high blood pressure, diabetes that he uses insulin shots for, high cholesterol, etc. He refuses to get help for his problems. He has gained over 100 lbs. in the last 5 years and keeps going. His diabetes was mild up until a year ago and he controlled it with a pill. He continues to consume whole pizzas, donuts, candy, etc. He is on over 20 pills a day. My husband and I have a three year old and a five year old. He comes to see them twice a month, despite living a mile away. He has a new truck, so driving is not an issue. He refuses to get healthy and get off all of these medications. He has no thyroid problems, etc. for his weight problems. He will not play with our kids or go to holiday events. On holidays, he sits home in bed. When he does visit, he can't stay out of bed for more than 2 hours. He is very mean to the whole family. He takes pills for depession..

A male coworker of mine is very resentful of me because I get along very well with a girl at work that he likes alot. I happen to like her alot but don't think she likes me like that but I'm okay with this. The problem is when she laughs at my jokes (she does this alot), or compliments me, or touches me on the arm, he will make a comment about it and be very negative towards us for the rest of the day. My boyfriend and I have been together for 4 years......I'm a 2nd year medical student. My boyfriend is doing his residency at a hospital couple minutes away from me. I know both of us are extremely stressed, but since we're fighting almost everyday its making me more stressed. I'm afraid to break up with him because I've always thought he would be the one Id get married to....I think I would feel empty without him. At the same time, I'm so sick of fighting with him that my grades are slipping. I feel like I'm stuck and I dont know what to do anymore. This girl has said hello to me every day since December, either in class or in the hall. She once offered to give me a ride to my car (1/4 mile). She asks me questions about myself sometimes. She has pointed out similarities we have on a few occasions.

She just seems to be into me. I just met her this year, so it is not like we are friends, just acquaintances . I feel like a real jerk since I havn't done anything, and I know the perfect time I can.

So I was telling this guy some intresting news. It was about this girl who liked him and what she rated him on a scale of one to ten. The thing is I had to repeaat myself a few times and I don't know why I knew he heard me every signal time yet he made me repeat it. I kept constant eye contact with him the whole time. I only told him this because he came up behind me singing and kind of hit me from behind so I started talking. I don't think he is hard of hearing because he can hear when I whisper with my friends just fine. So why did he make me repeat myself? Or am I reading way too deep into this??
