And then he calls again... and seems to be just as cool as always. us girls need a little more time and attention. For a relationship that's starting out, is this coming and going normal??? He says that he was deeply damaged by a previous relationship and wants to take it slow...

i want my daughter to have the best dress ever. but her great -grandma wants to make her dress. which i really dont want. i dont think she will be able to put all the details on the dress that my daughter wants. and im afraid she will mess up and at the last minute i will have to go find a dress. i dont want to hurt no feelings. should i let her or tell her no nicely

My two best friends always demand my undivided attention.They don't want me to hang out with other friends by myself,without them,they get bored when we talk to other friends of mine,whom they also know(!!).They want to go to the same place all the time,but literally ALL THE TIME,just because they wanna run after 2 imbecilles they like.I've followed mani times,but I'm sick of it.I never get to do what I want,and whenever I object,they get offended?What's this?I have other friends to attend,and they demand that we always go out together.I think they love me and I want to be with them but not SOLELY!I'm suffocating in here.

I asked a friend to be part of a charitable business my husband and I run. The only requirement was that they attend 2 mtgs/yr. This person works for herself, her son is in school, then in daycare until 5:00 pm. Our meeting was in Dec. In Oct prior, she was already telling us that she could not attend because of work (she works for herself and can arrange appointments anyway she chooses to). She then said she could attend by phone (after she told us she had to work), we do not have the equipment for that. She asked us to move the meeting (when the other people involved had already arranged their schedule), childcare was the next issue (she would have been back long bef). The meeting went on without her. She then sent a vengeful letter berating me in every way she could think of simply because I had reminded her that her only obligation was two meetings a year, and if she could not uphold that responsibilty, perhaps she should step down. Was I wrong to do this?

My parents disapprove of my boyfriend and hes leaving for college in a week, I love him a lot and we have an amazing relationship, my parents have made me promise that I'm going to break up with him by the time he leaves for college. They say they have a strong feeling he'll become really clingy and I won't be able to get rid of him, his parents live in another country so I'm kind of the only one there for him, I can see where my parents are coming from and they're probably right. I'm in my last year of school this year and don't know where I'll be going for college next year, during his holidays he'll be going overseas to be with his family - is there any point in us retaining our relationship? He's my best friend and I could not stand to lose him completely. I know I'd be breaking his heart but I'm torn between my parents and him, what should I do? I feel forced to end it but how could I ensure that we stay close as friends?

I've been dating this amazing girl for the past month, and last night she dumped me because I'm an athiest. Its killing me, because I really do love her and she told me that she feels the same way, but thinks that in the long run our religious differences would really hurt us. I told her not to blame God, for dumping me but she says that she really wants to keep dating me, but thinks that its wrong. I want her back, but she is really religious, her father's a pastor, and I don't want to convert just so that she'll date me, that'd be empty and meaningless and she'd see right through it. How strict are the rules for Christians dating non-christians? What can I do?

this crazy girl asked me to prom 3 times. i know it takes a lot of guts for a girl to ask a guy out, but i really dont like her cuz shes cucu n i already gotta girlfriend n all that. all 3 times i told her no n everytime i tell her no, she starts crying. shes says things like, "but its prom! u have no soul!" n sum other **** like that. n last year she tried to kill herself for watever reason, n she cuts herself still, so i dont wanna hurt her feelings n then later on find out she jumped out the window.

Theres a musical tonight. The girl I love is in the band that plays the music for the musical. Most of my friends have already seen. I have only 1 friend who I know is going, but hes going w/ a bunch of his friends, that I don't know. The girl doesn't know I love her (so I want to be there, so she thinks that im at the least a good friend). i also told her I would go just for her (but when I told her I was in a sarcastic tone, so she doesn't I love her). I also can't drive home tonight, and my brother is going out w/ his friends and he will have to leave them to pick me up (which he really doesn't want to). Also the friend I would go to the musical w/ is getting a ride home from on of his friends (that I don't know).

I'm going to keep my options open i will not try and arrange a meeting with her i'll let her arrange with me.But sure fire it's valentines day coming up surly if she dosn't want to meet up on that day then i really shouldn't give a monkeys about her? it's just wierd how for the 1st time we are both single we both wanted this and it's kind of falling apart.i fear tho say we didn't work out and we became friends like we used to and i went out with another girl the same scenario of us kissing on nights out and cheating on our partners.But i don't want to lose this one i realy i mean really like her i've only felt like this once before and i almost married that girlfriend.Every girl after seems theres just asexual atractivness to us and then we split up after a couple of weeks.But this girl i just know how good we will be but i think i'm getting hurt through her disapointing me!!!!

You people do know that IT DOES NOT HURT BIRDS? Rice is a natural seed that grows in the wild and birds eat it. Where rice is stored, birds eat it. You don't see hundreds of dead birds around a rice silo!

So why then do the vast majority of people believe that if birds eat the relatively small amount of rice left on the ground after a wedding that they will somehow explode in a burst of feathers?

Are all people really that stupid?

We were at a party last night, and she left with the guy I liked for an hour. She came back, and I was pretty mad, but finally I got over it.

A month ago I went to a club. Got a little drunk, made out with this guy who I knew from when I was kid but hadn't seen in years. He is good friends with my close guy cousin. I found out the next night he might have a girlfriend, I forgot about him. Surprisingly, he called me a week later and asked me to go out for coffee. I asked him "dont you have a gf" and he said, "there might be some truth to that but not entirely". I said yes at first, then called back to cancel and reschedule. He said sure, he would call me the following week. He never did. Then last night, two weeks after he was supposed to call me, he calls me in a professional manner asking me if I'd like to do a free financial survey, not ONCE mentioning that he never called me back and was very adament to set up an appointment to see me soon. He acted like I was a stranger and strictly spoke professionally. We know each other, but he was acting very cold. I agreed to an appt. but won't go. Guys, what's the deal here?

i sent him a text message
it said "you made my day today. i was really happy for all of today"
the reason why i sent him it was because we have gone out before and it was a problem but we have talked over what our issues were and everything seems to be working out just fine right. we aren't going out. we pretty much are though its confusing. we are kind of on and off. so in the hallway he kissed me. it made me feel so happy that he went and did that so i sent him a text saying i appreciated it.
he sent me a text back saying "whatd i do?"
will he be weirded out by why i am so happy? or flattered? embarassed?
