What messages are giving him, maybe he thinks you want to take it very slow? Maybe it is reached the point where you should discuss it with him?

Well taking it slow doesn't mean disappearing for 7 days. You have to talk to him and you guys can help each other out....meet half way perhaps. If he's not willing to do so, well then you have to take sometime and see if you can handle that whole not talking for a while thing or maybe move on.

In between all this calling... no face to face contact, right? just calling .... I imagine he has other relationships in the works. He's deeply damaged, alright. That seems to be the one thing he is being honest about . Unload this gigalo. You're someone he is thinking about when there is nothing else going on and he is bored.

Umm, well taking it slow doesn't mean pulling a disappearing act and then just randomnly showing up whenever it's convenient to him. It's a relationship meaning it takes two, he obviously doesn't care as much about you as you do him. Next time he calls, pretend you're busy or distracted, if he doesn't respond, then he's probably not that interested or just isn't worth your time.

Usually when a guy wants to "take it slow" he doesn't see you as someone he wants to be with in a relationship. If a guy really likes you he would call you more that once a week despite his "past".

he's just probably is nervous about starting a new relationship.
it's pretty simple to figure out the male mind. he either has something going on with work or a family issue. give him time. and ask him whats going on straight out.
if he's going to be in a relationship with someone, he has to be there wherever, and whenever!

Its normal. But that doesn't mean its in-line with your dating style. Tell him how you feel.
