I am 16 and I live with my mom, dad and sister. My mom demands perfection and well, I simply can't meet her expectations. She fits the criteria for emotionaI, verbal and psycological abuse. My sister gave up and now acts like my mom to please her and my dad told me to suck it up and wait the two years till I graduate. I know that I need to do something, yet that last time I tried standing up for myself, my mom refused to look at me without crying. I don't else what else to do - I see nothing good about myself and all I do is cry. I want help or, maybe a way to escape; i wouldn't know how to use anyone'se advice. I want to get better because I am hurting my friends, boyfriend and grades at school. A counselor would be nice, but my town is too isolated. I am running out of places to go. Please help. Online dating sites are a complete rip-off! Except for one site that I know of that is free (plentyoffish.com), all of the sites make you pay to be able to email someone (understandable), but the catch is that the person you are writing to has to be a paying "member" also. Similarly, on some sites, someone may write you, but unless you pay, you can't even see the profile of the person who has an interest in you, let alone make a reply. So unless you sign up for some high cost, automatic-renewal-trap contract, you can't respond to a person that has already paid to be able to speak to you. This situation basically makes online dating a complete joke. If a person pays a site to transmit their message to someone, then it should be made law that that message is delivered regardless of whether or not the receiver is a paying member. This practice is as assenine as having to pay to receive a call from someone...but at least cell phone providers are finally (slowly) coming around on that score

this guy used to call me alot to talk but then stopped.. not sure why he stopped... i told him if he ever wanted to go do something fun together we could but he didn't respond.... but he still sometimes shows and sends me jokes with a sexual content to them, not offensive, but funny.. i don't see him doing this with other girls, what is up with that? is he playing with my feelings?

ok heres the deal , some ppl say im ugly and some ppl say im cute. Just recently, I was working on a set and met a older man. Well, significantly older man! He is 23 yrs older than me. This has NEVER happened to me before. I was completely drawn to him. I didn't give him my card before I left because I figured it was a passing thing and it would blow over. But now I am regretting it -big time! In our society, in regards to love, sex, getting what they want from the opposite sex, money, attention, whose attracting the opposite sex more and teasing them and it's driving the gender crazy. Is it the females or the males? Battle of the Sexes, whose winning right now? Men and women are playing the "Cat and Mouse" game, whose getting their way right now? Who's winning? The females are throwing over the plate, the guys are reading the pitcher's signals. We're hitting or striking out? If we're barely hanging in there we're hitting pop fouls trying to avoid striking out. LOL

I sometimes think its me that has it all wrong because I expect to spend a little time with my husband in the morning and evening every day. I have a need for his attention and touch.....but he can go on for weeks caught up in his work......then when he finally does spend some time with me I always feel like I am so lonely and just too demanding of "alone" time. So I back off again.....but its getting old. I dont think its unreasonable to expect a 5 min conversation in the morning, a hug and a kiss before work. If I take the focus off all this together time....he seems to do fine. I dont even want to talk about our sex life...his BP medicine makes that a joke....I am just talking about time to be close.....should I just give it up? I wonder if I got into a new relationship if I would just be too dependent? am I the one whose unrealistic thinking that the closeness between us shouldn't be vanishing???

Ok here's another problem. (Sorry tons of things this week) So this is about a guy I've known for three years. We're good friends, but the problem is that he tried to ask me out a while back. (In which it failed horribly) It's been at least 8 months since then and now this guy has different personalities. He is seriously in love with me still...he tried to impress me, act tough, and sometimes it gets to the point where he becomes a douche bag. My friend even tries to become what I am. Everything about me, my style, my interests. He acts as if he is me. (Not acting the girl part though) I don't think he has to many friends, because people I know think he's nerdy. But in the end when he's not being fake, he's seriously insecure! He puts up this cover of something he's not...then he expects me to like him or something? Then when that's all over and there's no one left....he goes into a depressional state. What's going on and how can I help my friend?
