My boyfriend and I have only been together for a couple weeks now. We hang out about 2-4 times a week. My friend says that it's too much and that I should cut back on hanging out with him so much. Should I?

Well, I honestly think that if you and b/f think that's ok, then roll with that. Your friend might feel threatened by him, kind of like you'll be spending so much time with him that you'll forget to make time for her. You definitely don't want to do this. I made that mistake with one of my boyfriends and me and my friends from that time still aren't as close. It's death when that happens, because you realize that they would've always been there for you, whereas your man would've ditched eventually. Face it. It's gonna happen. <3

It sounds like your friend is simply jealous of the time that you two are spending together. There is no rule of thumb for how much time a new couple should spend together. All people are different....some couples are clingy and may end up married for 75 years and spend every possible minute together, while yet another couple may see each other as rarely as once a week yet will also spend the rest of their lives together and love each other just as much. Just use your head. If it seems like your boyfriend starts to dodge dates or appointments with you, then it's very possible that he is starting to feel a little smothered by you so give him his space. But likewise, if he seems like he's always in your face (and this bothers you) then sit him down and tell him that you need a little more personal time and he should try to understand that if he wants to keep you.
Good Luck

Do you feel you should? Most couples are together a lot especially when they first get together. It normally tapers off a bit on its own after a month or two. It sounds like your friend might be a little jealous. Try making a special time to hang out with your friend or make it a group get together when your with your boyfriend.

depends, has your relationships with your friend and family changed in a negative way. Are you spending all of your free time with him. If you are, then that could be a problem. Also, is your school work or extra curricular activities suffering. Are you neglecting your responsibilities to spend time with him. If yes, again that could be a problem.

Look at your life now vs how it was before you boyfriend. If you see major changes in your social life, school, grades, family relationships, etc. Then yes, you could be spending too much time with your boyfriend and that's not a good thing.

Why? Are you dating your friend? When I first starting going out with my guy, we hung out nearly every day. If you guys get along well, and enjoy each others company, I honestly don't seem the harm.

Maybe your friend is jealous? Or that you're spending too much time with your guy, and not enough time with your friend? Ask him/her exactly why there should be a restriction on the time you spend with your boyfriend, and why it should even bother them to begin with.

Good luck!

You should tell your friend that giving unsolicited advice 2 to 4 times a week is way too much.

sounds like your friend and you probably spent that time together that you are now spending with your new bf, she is probably missing that time with you, let her know that you still want to hang with her but you want to spend time with your new guy too. 2-4 times a week is not to much. just let her know she is still special to you.

babe you're the only one to know that it's in you heart but don't forget ur friends too that is also important. Reserve some equal times with ur friends and ur bf. Or maybe you could ask ur bf to hang out with ur friends too some time so that they could know him. :)
