I recently got engaged to my fiance and we have no problems whatsoever but his brothers and daughter hate me for some reason... There is a age difference I am in my fourties and he is in his late fifties but that does not seem to bother me at all.. We get along great but this situation is starting to really make me mad... Any suggestions... Oh and to top it off they have never even met me..

my wife is white and her brother is 18 and her brother is a clean freak so when eveer there is the slightest big of mess in the house he says TIE!!!! clean the house better and stuff like that

THEN on top of that he makes jokes about my chinese background and how i cant drive good (which i can)

THEN in MY 2700 sq f house he finds MY socks lying around and puts them in the garbage because he thinks i should take better care of them

THEN he steals my chinese beer bottles that i have in my bar in the basment and takes them into the bottle depot
i think he got like 3 dollars

AND he makes the same stupid jokes over and over again

What should i do about this without throwing him out or doing anything illegal?

he does have to stay with us his parents are gone for a while
so we cant kick him out

so what should i do about this?

I will be traveling out of state soon for my gentleman friend's daughter's wedding. I will be spending the whole weekend . He is insisting that I attend the rehearsal dinner with him. I feel this would be extremely innappropriate. I have always been led to believe that the rehearsal dinner was for members of the wedding party. I do not want to have a major breach of manners here, especially since this wedding will be the first time I will be meeting his family. It is a major bone of contention between the two of us. I might add I am southern, and he is from New Jersey......are customs different up north?

I feel like people don't care for me like I care for them, such as my friends (acquaintences etc.)

For instance, I have a good friend that I knew from a little girl. when her baby was sick and put into the hosptial last summer, I rushed there with my daughter as soon as she called me with the news. After that, I called mostly everyday to find out how the baby was doing.

As I said, I have a child as well and she has a sickness that makes her ill from time to time , then she's alright.

People that I call my friends(which r not much) know the situation but , to me, they dont show much of a concern like I would if they have situations in their life. I have let lots of people go because of their insensitivity (to me). I feel people r for themselves and if I am going to be there for them , I should get the same treatment in my time of need. when I tell that person how I feel , they seem to act as if they just dont understand or I'm over reacting. Is it just me ?

I 'm married and have four children current husband is not the father . i have two small children ages 4,6 alwaays into something and if he see them he'll tell them to stop ar come tell me what they did he just mainly talks to them .So when they go over to their father have he grills them about what is happening at home and then he call me and tell me that he does not what my current husband saying anything to his children he makes my life a living hell so what am i suppose to do help me out people give me your honest opinion am i to tell my husband not to say anything to my children or what

Do you feel like the black sheep of your family? I do. I am the only boy in a family of 5 siblings. My entire life my sisters have felt like they have had to fix me. Now that were all grown up I still feel like they want to fix me or that I am not good enough to be a part of their lives. I have worked really hard to get my life in order. I just got a new job, I have been clean and sober for almost 6 years not yet none of this seems to be good enough. This isnt with all of my sisters. Some have been really supportive. I am actually having problems with just two right now. One doesnt even acknowledge my exisitance when we get together at family events, and the other is a controll freak who nitpicks everything that i do. I have addressed these issues in the past and it gets better for a while but then I start getting treated crappy again. Its not just by my sisters either its my in-laws also. I am about ready to just stop participating in family events. Any suggestions? I am out of ideas?

We have been dating for 3years lived together for 2 years and last jan. he moved out by my choice and he would make excuses why he couldn't get his stuff out of my house etc. He spent the day with me on thursday and b4 he left that day everything was fine he loved and would never leave me and so on. Well on Friday i tried to leave a message on the phone it was full he never deletes them so i have the password and i was going to delete one so i could leave him a message and there was a message from some woman whom seemed to known he for a while was wanting to meet him b4 her husband got home and left her work number for him to call her back at. so i asked him about it thats when it all started he didnt want me anymore i was controling him and he never loved me he hated me. so i called her told her who i was she says oh im sorry i didn't know he had a girlfriend.he finds out i called and tells me i screwed his life up and hates me.But he sends mess daily.yes i want him back.suggestions?

how would you feel if your partner/lover/crush...went out with a close friend on that day instead of you?...

the reason i ask is that my ex husband used to throw a tantrum about Valentines day every year...he hated it...one year after pitching a fit because i'd left a love note in his car...he stormed off to work...and i had a call from my best friend, a guy, asking me if i'd like to go and see Romeo and Juliet with him as he had a spare ticket...i said id love to and called my husband to tell him my plans...he promptly pitched another fit about the audacity of my friend wanting to take me out on Valentines day???...go figure...he wouldnt normally have been very possessive so im wondering...
