What is the difference between a man just being polite and friendly and him really liking you and trying to let you know? Will he say something if he gets the clues that I like him back?

It could be a smile, wink, slight touch of the arm, or back. Really looking into your eyes when you speak to eachother. Making an effort to talk to you or for you to notice him. Men have feelings to and are some times to scared for women to know this. Just ask him yourself out for a drink or some thing.

The difference is action - no matter what his words are, if a bloke fancied you he would act on it. He may be that he still will but even the shy ones find a way..people, in not just this situation ALWAYS do what is important to them..
Anything else is just politeness so hold back in the meantime as you don't want to look desperate/needy etc
Get yourself into the if it happens great but if it doesn't I'll bounce back too frame of mind and you won't go wrong..
Also bear in mind that many (most) blokes are not programmed to look so deeply into emotional encounters like this so it may well be the case that while you are agonising over the does he/doesn't he etc he is just thinking of what he always does - every 7 seconds and nowt else!

If your polite enough to let him know either way is a bonus, something you women rarely do, like it would be a crime against womanhood if you let a guy know you were interested straight away. There's this crap of letting him wait??

Its usually the unecessary touch of the arms or making jokes about fancying you etc. YTou will probably just know when it happens

He will get the message depending how you reply in the first place,sometimes though fellas have to sort out little things before committing to another date?

from my experience unless you get him face to face you will never know. and when they do tell you what they want they change their minds, honestly they go on about women i think men are far worse.its all about the chase .
