Im 17 and living in california. I have read a substantial amount of information about emancipation and they all basically state the same rules. I am going to be 18 in august, and although i do not currently have a job i have heared that certain assets might cover that section of emancipation. what are they? My dad left my family and my mom lives with her sister. i am living with my grandmother. My mom is trying to make our lives better however i know that i can do a better job of taking care of myself. do i have to be in immediate danger or have to have a explicit reason to be emancipated?, or if i prove that i can pull my own weight does that automatically mean i can be emancipated? I would also like to know how long the process takes. I have about 7 months to go and i can do alot in 7 months. If anyone can just tell me what the judge is particularly looking for, or if anyone can tell me what is the main thing i need to watch out for in this process. There is violence or drug abus

We were talking and he said he liked me and asked me to homecoming but i was 1 year too young and couldn't go but i really liked him. He went with this girl who looks like a cow and they have been going out for 5 months. i don't know what happened. he acts like he stills likes me but he's still going out with her. It was like all of a sudden he changed and ignored me. During the past week we've been talking more. right now, im at home sick and he keeps texting me telling me to get better and i'm just really confused.

There is this other guy i like except everyone in my class backstabs him and hates him. I really like him too though and our moms work together. He has beautiful blue eyes and he is a jock at my school. we are pretty good friends. but my x-best friend was jealous of me and told him i liked him and we didn't talk for a couple of months. but now we are talking again and i am confused. I am in a strange problem . If I am little harse in my voice or angry for something and talk little strange to her or ignored her anger I get beaten up badly by her . She keeps on doing that for almost one year .She beats me up but I am still with her hoping I will find something to change her but nothing did . When she beats me if I dont repky in anger and just try to make her laugh she is fine but if not I am badly beaten up by her . Please please and please advisse me to help her . Some thing that I can do to deal with this type of person I guess there is all kind of person and ways to deal with them please help . I love her . But she can;t promise me that she wont stop beating me but she will try . When angry she dont feel sad how she beats me and says I deserve it . How can I make him want me?
My bf and I have been dating for over two months (known each other for four months) and at first he acted like sex was really important to him. He kept asking me to quite smoking and I went a few days without smoking and things got really hot between us. A few days later I started smoking again and he started acting like he wasn't even attracted to me. At first I didn't put two and two together but after a few days I started asking what was going on and he said he hated the taste of smoke on me. I have stopped even acting interested in any physical contact but I have pretty much quite smoking. The last time I saw him we made out. That was a nice improvement but not I want to make him want me again. How should I do this?

I have felt for a long time my fiance doesnt treat me nicely and with respect but he has really crossed the line lately.
When we get along we get along GREAT we have fun and we really love eachother but sometimes i think that he is bipolar..he will turn on me in a flash and will be the most hateful mean person and he says things that really hurt me like calling me a bit*h and telling me to shut the F up.I know he is going through a lot with the law so I try to be understanding but I dont think it is fair to take it out on me so bad. The other day he got mad at the laptop and threw it at my legs.Then he tells me I'm the one with the problem and that I have 2 personalities...Its always me not him. I want to leave but I am stuck. all my family and friends live 1,500mls away.we are in the middle of an ice storm and they say dont drive on the roads, he told me to quit bitching and leave. Is there a way to reason with someone like this? I dont know if I should stay or leave

I live quite happily on my own, and have been going to see my parents once a week for many years. I normally spend around 3-5 hours there. However, I seem to be find myself getting bored there quickly and running out of things to talk about, mainly because not a great deal has happened since my last visit. What doesn't help, is that my dad has now got into the habit of coming to visit me once a week, even if I only saw him a few days prior to him coming. I love them to bits, and don't want to sound ungrateful, but I really want to either cut the length of my visits or cut down the frequency. I don't want to be hurtful, but at the same time it's got to the point where some weeks I just don't enjoy going over there. My weekly visits have been very habitual over 10 years or so, so any change now will seem quite dramatic. How often do other people who've left home visit their parents, and how long for?

My son is 24 years old, and he lives with me . I am Ok with that. He recently got out of the military. His girl friend who lives one hour away, has dicided to move , to be close to him.She has accepted a job here, but has made no effort to find a place to stay. I know that she is planning, to come here to my home each night to stay, but I am against it. She is a sweet girl, and I like her very much, but my gut says NO to this.
In the past, she has driven the 60 miles each weekend to stay here.

My son is attending a junior college, and is not working. She is in debt for $30 K+, and works a minimum wage job. She presently is living with her mother and brother.

Am I being selfish, as my son says I am. ? Should I let her move in. ?
As for me, I am 65 years old, divorced 20 years, and retired.
