Using soap operas and actors as an example: I hate the EastEnders cockney accents, also I don't like the overly posh keira knightly/joanna lumley accents. Most of the characters in Hollyoaks have nice accents (but I'm not sure they correspond to the region it's set in). Davina MacCall has a nice accent (where's she from, what's her background?).
Some of the Brookside women had nice accents (when they weren't too hysterical).
Do people agree/disagree with me? Is preference for accent based on the people we've seen who have those accents (hence I don't like the Glaswegian accent because of Lorraine Kelly and Rab C Nesbitt?)

My boyfriend and I have been dating for a little over two wonderful years so I cant figure out why I'm so jelaous! I freak if he even asks to hang out with his friends. I basically get jealous any time he isnt with me, even if he's with his family. Now he's talking about joining a fraternity and that definetely didnt go over well with me. What do I do it's ruining our relationship!?

Since the b/f can't come home on time I changed the locks and never gave him a key. We had an arguement earlier for him taking my vehicle w/o permission. The arguement ended with him slamming a door that hit me in the elbow and him storming out of the house, I yelled for him not to come back to my house! I just got home at 230am to a pitch black house (the way I left it) changed clothes, fixed the kids a snack, turned on TV, and deceided to check the house made a phone call all over the course of 10-12 minutes. There are 3 levels as I was in the middle and could be heard entering the house. Upon checking the house the b/f was on the lowest level standing in the laundry room in the pitch dark, until I flicked the light on. Startling me, I asked whatt he was doing and he stated he ws putting his bike away (. I did ask him to leave earlier, why was he here? I beleive he is trying to check up on me but this was scary and creepy! he knows how I am about this behavior, What do you think?

to let my guy friend know how i feel about him? I am going to the movies with him tonight, we've been out a few times before as friends but this time i really want him to know how i feel but not enough to scare him away. Not like a kiss or anything, that would just be too much at the moment. So this guy that I like is really giving me mixed signals..on one hand we spend an immense amount of time together. We're always planning to do different things together including travelling the world together, which we're starting next fall. He's told his friends he loves spending time with me and how much fun we have together yet he's never tried to kiss me or anything. Now in saying this we've talked about his past and according to him he is suprised when I tell him how attractive I find him because he's never been told that before. He says he's never had anyone say anything like that to him and that it comes as a total suprise. This is making me believe he's still a virgin and has never done anything with a girl before (as he doesn't believe in one night stands and as far as I know has never had a gf). Could this be why I'm feeling this immense attraction between us yet he's not acting on it becasue he's nervous and doesn't know how to go about it?

7mo old now, its his first baby, we have alot of problems in our relationship w/ trust, he's an alcoholic, jobless, lives w/ his mom, he's 26, alot of ppl say he's unfaithful, he's controlling, was violent, but got some help 4 that issue, i care about him, love him, but dont know what to do, because he's made threats 2 hurt me n my family if i dont work things out w/ him, he keeps promising 2 change in the new yr, and he's the stalker type...to keep myself, my 2kids and my siblings and parents safe, do i stay w/ him or 4get bout him n pray he doesnt do anything. his family has long history of violence, alcolholism, getting revenge. @ the moment, im not talking to him, but feel fearful for ev1 i know n want 2 maybe give him a chance jus 4 our daughters sake....what do i do?

we both felt quiet lonely and we ended up in bed - that was two years ago. now and then we have sex but it's lukewarm at most. basically we ar just two people coming together out of loneliness. however our friendship suffered the most. we used to hang out a lot, now we barely call each other. we go out as a group but never with each other anymore. i miss the friendship the most. we both recognze the fact that we don't really love each other but it's hard to be just friends again the way we used to be.. is it possible to salvage the friendship or is this one mistake where the consequence is too high to pay?

My boyfriend took my car without my permission. He waited until I was in the shower went in my purse and took the keys and announced he was leaving and would be back in an hour. I said no b/c he has a bad habit of using my car and not returning at the agreed upon times. I said no b/c I had a prior engagement to go to and his late arrivals always make me or my children late to our engagements . The b/f proceeded to argue when I threatened that I should have called police, it ended with him slamming a door in my face hitting me in the elbow. I told him to get out of my house.
