she may have got freaked out at the thought you said you loved her, maybe shes embarresed and thought the best thing to do was to leave you alone.

Well, maybe you are too straight forward. I mean you two have been friend for quite a time. It's not good to shift your gear suddenly. It'll break down your relationship. You can express your feeling steadily bot not slowly,she might be grab by other guy. Just take thing systematically. Be more caring than before but not pushing her to accept your love. Do something that she love frequently but as a susprise. Show how much your care for her and you want to take things to another level. Show her that you're the guy she want to spend her life with. It's take time for a friendly love to grow to something more special. You know her better than others so used it to win her love. Meke her see that she is your everything. Don't give up and most importantly be honest to yourself and herself. May God is on your side.... :-)
