It’s not a terrible drinking problem, but it’s getting worse ever since she quit her job. She gets cranky so easily and has all of these mood swings. She hides bottles all around the house and it’s rather depressing to open the panty and find 3 almost empty vodka bottles lying behind the newspaper bin. Last week I was baking cookies that required rum and surprisingly we had it in the house. (Who drinks RUM?) The bottle hadn’t been opened yet and I simply used two tablespoons. Two days later I found the rum bottle. It was completely empty. I’m getting really worried. She’s such a nice person but her drinking is ruining our relationship.

How on earth can I talk to her about this or get her to even admit to it? She gets angry so easily and won’t see anything anyone else’s way when she is.

I am so totally pissed off to the point of wanting to end my new marriage. Here goes; my husband is very close friends with this woman and her family. Matter of fact, she is the one who introduced us. He wants to buy her a car and put the car that they once shared together in the shop. My thing is why does he have to buy her a car considering the fact that she now has a job and can buy her own car. He seems to want to make sure everyone in his close knit circle of friends and family are straight while he puts me on the backburner and act so stingy and tight. When i mentioned my concerns he told me I act like I am jealous of this girl. Mind you, she is a lesbian. That really pissed me off. He had a truck that now his father uses all the time. Why should I give him access to my car when he feels he can buy cars for everyone else. I just don't get it. It just doesn't make sense to buy a car only to have someone have access to it, and not the wife. Is this some bull or what?

I've known her for 3 years. we know everything about each other. I know she cares because she told me so. right after she married her exhusband she came over and asked if i ever thought what would have happened if we were together. She hung out with me more than him and they ended up getting a divorce. I love this woman, with all my heart. Im 26 and i have NEVER felt like this about anyone before. we hang out and talk all the time. i even talk to her family. what do i do from here.... we are both military and i have a chance for my last year to either get stationed close to home or stay here with her. i've already turned down orders to stay close to her. help please...i feel cheesy bein on here but i am lost..

He is still trying to pursue you...what do you do?

So you fall in love with someone...
In the beginning, you can name certain characteristics to your friends about why you love them, (i.e. they are honest, smart, witty, pretty, sharp, ambitious...etc)... But once you're in the relationship pretty deep, like say after a few years or are approaching marriage, you find that you can't name those things anymore...
And yet you still love that person... Is this because those things are no longer attractive? Or is it just because after so many things you two have been through, all those points that brought you together become useless?

Please apply this to your own relationships and give me some suggestions for why this happens? Thanks!

With a serious boyfriend or girlfriend,
Is it better to bring your bad points out into the open, like talking about, for example:
I get jealous easily because of this and that... or
I have a pride issue with other people being more talented than me... or
I don't like it when you_____...
or similar issues...

or is it better to just gloss over them and avoid them?

It seems better to have good communication but isn't there also a risk that they'll find out that wow... so this is the real you! and hence dump you? Please help! Thanks... I know I heard something about love being able to make sacrifices for small trifles like this or something. (Age is around 20)

I wrote it reflecting upon a broken friendship. Good critisim is asked but keep in mind that I'm 13.

It started as a drop,
Landing with a plop,
On a rock, outside my window

But with the tone of a clock,
more rain fell on the rock.
And the wet it shone,
on the surface of the stone
led the rain softly creeping
of the drops on the rock deeping.

From there they started to ecetch,
on stone they began to scetch.
But the rock holds together,
as its body starts to dissever.
But as the rock lay eroding,
the surface starts unfolding.
Like a dart,
had blown the rock apart.

The killer left no token,
on why the rock's been broken.
But no tears been shed,
can rescue the once dead
Like the dents on the rock,
never peeling,
Like the wounds in my heart.
never healing.

I'm on the varsity bowling team, and I'm the only freshman besides another kid. The other kid is basically my best friend on the team, and the rest of my friends always talk bad about him behind his back, saying "Oh no, ________ is here. He's so annoying, etc, etc." Same thing with another one of my friends who is a sophmore. I'm really good friends with the kids who are saying this behind his back. What do I do? I want to stick up for him and stuff, but I don't want to lose all of my other friends.
