It's better to open up and be able to talk about them. I made a pact with myself to be up front about myself and make an honest effort to talk about the not so great things in life. I found that I am more happy and effectionate towards my sweetie pie. I find that by talking to him about things such as how I feel sad when I lay around all day and that I just need to get out and about. It's not him. He understands and is more accepting of me and trusting in me about other things more serious.

It all depends. First, you have to determine whether you have been going out long enough to talk about things like these. I am talking about -several years. If, like you say, this is a serious relationship, things like these should not be an issue. If you haven't mentioned them to him, he might have noticed by now. If on the other hand, you have been hiding your true self (we all do when dating) and you don't feel like having a 'confession session', just be your TRUE self around him and see his reaction. If you are thinking about marriage, the best way is always to come out clean BEFORE you commit yourselves for LIFE. That way, he won't feel that you have cheated him and if he knows all your weaknesses, he still wants to be with you, then you have found true love, honey. Another thing, if you know you have these weaknesses (nobody is perfect) and you would like to change, then go ahead and try. You will end up being a better person and you won't have to worry about telling anyone anything bc you don't have these issues in the first place. One more thing: Enjoy life and DON'T rush it. Good luck.

The thing is, they'll find out sooner or later. I hope that most guys are smart enough to get a clue after any sort of extended contact with you.
Bringing that sort of stuff up out of the blue, though... it seems really awkward, like a loaded question. It might result in you having more communication, but less HONEST communication. Not saying that it'll happen like that every time, but it's happened to me and it's been really weird.
I find the best route is just to deal with it as it comes up. You don't need to shove in his face that "hey! i'm possessive!" but a few subtle hints here and there don't hurt (emphasis on subtle!).

Concentrate on your good points and let him find out the bad ones on his own. He might not think they're bad anyway. Guys like self confidence. Don't show all your cards.

They'll find out about it anyway. Maybe it'll be your good characteristic that they'll find so cute right now and really annoying later on.

Its good to know your bad and good points. But, as you know, nobody is perfect. Guess..some you could gross over them, but some, you could try to avoid...cuz this is what you are. Just try to be yourself. Your nature. be opened minded also.

Keep them to yourself. They aren't major and you want to make a positive impression. Be optomistic.
