confront them
ask them 'what's the deal,here?'
maybe it was something you did
if they don't wanna tell u,then leave them
they don't sound like friends to me
if they still act like babies,then SO BE IT

I'd say that is the chicken way out. My ex husband would write me notes instead of talking to me face to face. He would leave them on the kitchen counter for me to find when I got up. He left out before I did in the morning. The only purpose they served was to piss me off. This form of communication is juvenille. If your friend has something to say to you then it needs to be done verbally, not written. That is being a good steward of the friendship/relationship.

They are mad but won't tell you why? Someone might be lying about you--confront them when they are together and explain that you at least want to know why they are mad.

call them so they will talk to you, that is what i did and now that friend and i are best friends
