My bf is Russian (I am too), and I already got him a $20 shirt with a russian cartoon logo. It's a really personal thing between us, cuz i'm 1 of the few ppl who knows about his favorite childhood cartoon.
I did some "snooping around" and found out that he spent $30 on my present...I don't know what it is, and i want it to be a surprise, so I'm not being too dishonest.
I know that quality is more important than price, but I'll feel better once i find something for $10 to add to his gift.
Do you have any inexpensive gift ideas? nothing lame, maybe something funny..

and PLEASE don't criticize me for trying to match his price...I'm not asking for criticism!

My Grandma passed away 18 months ago. Ever since then my Grandad has been (understandably) depressed. He's 82.
Well, he has made a friend and has asked if he can bring her to Christmas lunch.
I think this is wonderful. His 'friend' has given him a reason to get up in the morning and put a smile on his face.
However, my sister, whose house Christmas lunch is at, is unhappy about it. She says Christmas is 'just for family'.
She has told my mother her feelings, and now our mother doesnt know whether she should 'uninvite' Grandads friend.
What do you think? Is it too soon? Or does my sister need a kick up the bum?

I am male and 36 years old. I have a psychological disability. It involves social anxiety, anxiety attacks, depression, and inability to cope with stressful situations.

I've had a personal up online for over a year and telling about all of my positive traits, in a non-egotistical manner, has garnered very little response.

I'm beginning to wonder if allowing myself to be vulnerable is the way to go, by opening up and discussing the full details of my disability and how it affects my daily life.

Ladies, would you find this to be a brave and admirable thing to open up about in my personal, or would it have the total opposite effect on women and turn them off?

My roommates been a good friend since i was like eight. We have our ups and downs and whatnot. Anyway I seriously dislike her amoral fiance/boyfriend (there not commiting to a date only to eachother bullshit). I can't really have a problem when there here together. I live here she lives here, he can stay here when shes around, theres nothing wrong with that. I dont even ***** when i hear them screwing. I just put the head phones on and pretend its not happening. Its probably good to mention that we live in a one bed room together and i stay mostly in the living room area on the futon and she has the bed in the bedroom.

I get that we dont have alot of personal space and we do all right all things considered, in fact mostly cause were both never home. We both work and go to school. However her boyfriends here when shes not and I seriously object to this. Am I just being unreasonable and bitchy. I just want my space!

I'm 16, there is this guy I really like and he likes me too, I've known he has liked me for a week and everytime I see him I start to squirm in my seat and my face goes red and I'm a total reck! I'm afraid he won't accept me or think I'm funny if I just relax and be myself, but it's stupid I feel that way because if he started to like me when I was myself he should accept me now just the same.... I guess it's not acceptance I'm looking for then. But I need to know why everytime I see him I can hardly talk. I think I'm only pushing him away with the way I act. Lost my kids,job,home,everything ever worked for the only plus was the devorice from a cheating wife after 20 years(found that out after 19 years).She lied in the court system beleived it now I question everything that I do now,never before in my life have I done that.Scared to start over , but know that I have to rebuild my life!!!Just don't know how anymore,have talked to everyone that would listen ,but that hasn't helped ,not sure what to do next.

So most of these threads I've read all say if you don't want to do something naughty with your spouse then you shouldn't. Why not? I'm sure most people out there have something they would like to do but their spouse wouldn't and probably the other way around too. If your spouse really wanted to do something with you (and only you), nobody else is involved, there's no chance (or very little chance) of getting hurt doing it, and they're really get off on it (even though you may think its yucky), why wouldn't you do it for them? If our spouses are supposed to know us better than ourselves then don't you think they might know what we'd like even if we don't realize it?
Also, I should note that I'm not trying to talk my wife into doing anything. Honestly, if anything, she's the one who's a bit more "pushy" than I am but I'm always happy to go along with it because I know she likes various things and makes me happy in return.
