Hunni i have to agree with sugaree, since darryl and i split i dread him having her every other 5 days and once again it worked out that she is with him for christmas, so i had no choice but to suck it up and invite him once again for dinner...when i went to b.c for those 10 days i was so worried about what would happen when i got back, he had a habit of trying to brainwash her when we were splitting up and always told her that mom was going to leave and go to b.c and not come back so i was freaking the whole time i was there. but it just proved to her what a liar her dad is. it sucks but the only advice i have for you is to try to occupy yourself as much as possible.....good luck and remember we are here for you if you need to vent ....hugs

I didn't freak out and I didn't have to tell myself anything. I enjoyed the quiet holiday. Visitations are what YOU make of them, they can either be positive or they can be negative, you have the choice. I chose to make them positive and they were GREAT.

i know, it's like your heart gets ripped out and goes with your child. the only thing i can say is try to occupy yourself with "things" so the time will seem like it goes by quickly. i know, not much help.

I just told myself that my kids were with someone who loved them as much as I do. I sent them off with a kiss. a smile, and hug and went to a grown up Christmas party!
