I'm 16, there is this guy I really like and he likes me too, I've known he has liked me for a week and everytime I see him I start to squirm in my seat and my face goes red and I'm a total reck! I'm afraid he won't accept me or think I'm funny if I just relax and be myself, but it's stupid I feel that way because if he started to like me when I was myself he should accept me now just the same.... I guess it's not acceptance I'm looking for then. But I need to know why everytime I see him I can hardly talk. I think I'm only pushing him away with the way I act. But I seriously cannot help when I'm at a loss for words or not knowing what to say to him. He likes me but I'm afraid I won't be interesting enough or pretty enough or if he even still likes me after I've been so stupidly shy and dorky around him. >.< ARGH why can't I just be normal. Guys, Imagine if you were this dude. What would you be thinking? Please try and give actual advice, I'm so nervous and it needs to change.

Think back to before you knew he liked you. That person? That girl? Do you remember how she talked, walked, laughed? That's what he wants. That is what he likes. You possess that! Let it out! I act and when I get into sticky situations like this I take on the character that could get through it. Just do that. Take on the character of the former you and as crazy as it sounds, it will come back naturally. Plus, unless he's a jerk (like the guy I liked - he liked me back but expected me to hookup before going out...men), he probably wants to be with you and will take any chance if he knows you do too.

It is hard to act like yourself when you know that the person you like actually likes you back. If I were in your shoes, well actually, I used to be the same way. What I did was that I broke the ice. I asked him what was it about me that he liked and made him interested in me. Believe me it is normal to act like that but one thing that I can tell you is to be firm and stand your ground. You are a beautiful young lady and always believe that. If he isn't trying to get to know your personality, then that is his loss. But just tell him that you get nervous around him and you don't want him to think that you are always like that. You will be just fine and probably when it sinks in, the shyness will eventually go away. I think you are more excited than nervous which is also a good thing. You will do just fine and just keep your confidence level very high. Let him see that you are a cool person, inside and out and see what happens from there.

Talk to him over the phone a few times, you will be more relaxed because you know he can't see you freaking out and blushing, and you can have a few decent conversations. The next time you see him you won't be so nervous.

Act all flirty and slutty and girly .
From experience pull out the makeup , heels and the most important thing the celebrity clothes (Gucci, Louis Vuiton, Prada, and Parasuco)
Just be sure that he likes that kinda stuff first !

if i was a guy, and a girl i like acting like u, there's 3 things that run thru my mind:
1) am i revolting to her? why she looks uncomfortable when i am around her?
2) my...her face is turning red. how adorable!
3) she's so shy...is that mean she likes me or not? my... i have to post this question to Yahoo!answer !!!

I would be thinking you really like me, and it would be wonderful if you told me so in some manner. Start flirting, be more assertive, until he gets the message. It would be such a great honor to be loved by you, it's worth a little direct contact and honest comment.

you cannot be normal because you want him to ask you out. you're nervous and just want him to finally ask you. theres no other way to put it. if i liked the guy, i'd probably find reasons to walk around campus with him. just get him away from other guys, so that you could talk to him alone and stuff. make him comfortable enough to finally ask me the hell out!
