I love my parents,but they are getting on my nerves! My mother has this habit of coming over or calling me asking me to come by her to help her clean up or whatever. She just wants company, but sometimes I don't want to be around her or other family members because of the confusion and drama! I DON'T LIKE DRAMA! Yesterday what should have been a nice family outing was of course confusion and fussing, because some people just can't live in peace. I think I need a break from my family. I love them but I just don't know what to say or how to tell them that they are making me sick or that they are toxic! My soul is crushed and my heart is divided between being kind to my family members (mother especially) and saying no to them when I don't want to be around them. I am so tired of feeling guilty about it! I can't have a life outside of them and I want one. A life where I can take a break from them!!!

I have been married for 9 years and I have 5 beautiful kids. When I first met my husband and we were dating my husband's parents loved me. After our first child was born I suffered a bout of severe postpartum depression and I went to the hospital for psychiatric treatment voluntarily. My mother in law was cruel to me when I was released not even telling my husband I was out so he could come get me and I waited five hours to be picked up. That was in 1997 shortly after we were married.

Now I have more health problems. I not only suffer from depression and anxiety but I have seizures and migraines and I take medications that have affected my moods and have caused horrible side effects. They have rejected me.

For Xmas they gave my hubby a $50 gift certificate to a store he likes and a book about what a great son he is. I got a refrigerator magnet. Do you guys think my husband should stand up for me? He just seems to let them get away with treating me badly. I have stood up for him.

ok,so me and my best friend fell out around February,then there is September with school starting again,we made up,but it still wasnt the same,there was still LOADS of tension.but anyway in october she was goin through a rough time and i just ask her was she ok,and at the end of the day i just goes 'hug' and spread my arms out,she didn know what to do,she kinda opened her arms but didn wanna so i sed no and she sed no and just walked on...

Recently my best friend lost her brother to sucicide. Her parents are no longer together and she is always going from one house or the other, with no time for her self. I have been with her this whole time and been her support while she has been there for both of her parents. Even though her parents are greaving, and i am not saying that is selfish in anyway, but i dont think that she will ever get over her brothers death if she doesnt find time to greve herself. She is so bussy taking care of them that i have seen her cry or get emitional very few times, I am worried about her and not sure how to tell her that it is ok to be sad and that i am there for her. I honestly think that i have greved more than her, yet not infront of her to make her feel as if she needs to be strong for me. So got any advice for me????

My friend asked me to post this question up here to see if we could get good answers so please help!
Well I have a friend "Grace" who gets hit by her dad when he is mad at her.
He uses force such as grabbing her by the jaw hardly and squeezing it or hitting her across the face, and other things like that.
Well her mom hits her as well.
"Grace" doesnt know what to do. She is tempted to call the police because she is being abused, but she knows that they might send her to a different home and she doesnt want to leave all of her friends or her school.
She has tried to talk to her parents before about this but nothing happens.

What should she do?
And what should I do as her friend for her?

I’ve been friends with this woman for years. She wanted to date me-so we dated for a few months. Then, she decides she just wants to be friends again. I was hurt-so I tell her I want to distance myself for a while to heal. She got angry with me. We kept going out just like before (now as “friends”) with only a kiss and hug every now and then. Other than her job and family, she spends the rest of her free time with me. She told me that nobody has shown love/concern for her like me-possibly including her own mother. She has had only abusive relationships with guys and was sexually abused as a child. She even told her therapist that I would be the perfect boyfriend, but she won’t go there. She told me that she has never had such an in depth connection with anyone like me-male or female. What’s up? I don’t get it.

Well i did like this guy at work. But then my friend who also works with me said she kissed him and I was surprised. But she said it felt weird but she still wants to get with him. I recently attended a party hosted by the guy that I like. I know he has a GF (she was at the party). As he walked around playing "good host" he would look at me and make SEVERAL attempts to listen to my conversations I had with some of his male guests ( he didn't when I talked to females). He mentioned them to me at the end of the party. He sounded upset as if I were cheating on him. What is up with this? What does this mean?
