Well it is very simple there will always be a girl prettier than the next. Guys are more drawn to the outward appearence of a human being rather then the inward part. With all the different flavors in the world a guy is always tempted to taste whats on the menu. Girls on the other hand can control themselves but if we wanted to cheat we can get away with it cause we learn from their stupid mistakes.

It has nothing to do with the other woman being prettier or better in any way.
Men have an instinctive urge to mate with as many women as they can while women have an equally strong instinctive urge to hold on to a single mate.
Obviously, fulfilling both urges is problematic at best.
