Why would you want to tell him about all you past affairs all he needs to know is that you had 2 men when you were young an about your ex husband if you had 20 men why are you going to tell him it won't change the past or make your future better with this man, an i bet he never told allllllllllllllll about the women in his life, he just told you the ones he thinks will make you feel sorry for him, don't be fooled same thing you do the same thing men can do

If you're serious enough with someone to get engaged (your question is confusingly worded -- did he propose to you?), then he has a right to know about your most serious relationships. He doesn't have to have all the details or know about every partner, but past relationships do help define a person, so it's important to talk about the experiences, good or bad, that have made you who you are.
On the other hand, if you're just starting to see someone, no, you don't need to talk about your past relationships. It's better to wait until you're both comfortable with each other.

Why not ask him if he wants to know is the simple answer.
He might or might not, depends if it bothers him or if it was me, i wouldn't be that interested or care.
At the end of the day, you became the person you are by your lifes experiences which includes your past relationships, they help make you the person you are today.

If you are feeling you should free your mind, which I guess you are since you are asking about it, then I would say go ahead and be honest with him about your past. The past is the past. You can only take what you have now and go forward.

I believe being honest is the best way, if you release yourself you will have nothing to hid, then you will be at peace with yourself, if you are honest then you wont have to remember anything The famous saying "The truth will set you free"
