I have a friend who is giving an expensive gift (s) to my children for chirstmas. She has done this before - in years past. She pushes herself to pay for gifts and purchases with money she does not have - but because her parents showed love to her by 'giving' her things (her parents where abusive) she seems to follow the same pattern. I've known her for over 20 years and she is 'friends' with my children 16 ande 11. She has no children of her own - so she says this is 'just her'. However, I find she uses gifts to manipulate others and to gain love - when she does not have to. I am also uncomfortable with the way she speaks to my 16 year old as if he is a peer and she acts - at times - with the maturity of a 17 year old boy.
Her relationship with my children is undermining my relationship with them as well as their step dads. She puts us down and does not listen to us when we set CLEAR boundries about the children. Has anyone had to deal with this in thier life?

what if he keeps inviting you back and you havent given him anything sexually even though he has tried the moves?

My family does not like talking about these things, but I remeber back in 1999, when I was about 10-12 years old my auntwho at the time was 65 woke up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom. She does this frequently so it's no big deal. One morning about 2am she goes to the rest room and passes out on the toilet. I remeber going to the bathroom and the toliet was filed with blood and there was blood all over her pants. Her sister goes in the bathroom and places a cold towel over her head and then calls her name to see if she would wake up but she didn't.I called 911, and my other aunt rode with her to the hospital. Though I did visit her no one told me what happened.
She is still alive today, and I don't wanna ask her cuz she may not wanna talk about it, Do u know anyone particullary in that age range who had a simialar situation happen , what causing it? I thought she may have been raped?

here's this beautiful girl whom i really love. so I tried to confes to her my feelings and i did!!! but sad to say,she didn't accept it coz she is still focussing on her studies and and she also told me that we were too young to enter in a relationship and that she is not ready yet!!!! few weeks later i just heard a really bad news that she has a new bf now which is true!! so in other word she lied to me when she said that she is not ready yet!!! now i really really hate her and i want to forget her!!! but it seemed so hard to do that!!!can u give me some advice or what to do so that i can finally forget her and move on to my life!!!! pls!!!pls!!!

I have accepted lot of things in her which I think is absolutely normal in a relationship as we r suppose to do that coz thats what love is all about. Compromise is also a part of the game. So, if I m expecting the same, am I wrong ?? The problem is that my tone gets a little high at times, though u cant say that I yell but its a bit higher & sounds aggressive. Instead of working out on this together with me( If not acceptable ), she started shouting on me in double the voice I use to. She says this is the best way coz she has born & brought up like this that if someone yells on u then yell at him/her at double the voice he/she has.According to her she is trying from last one year (without me knowing this) & now she just cannot bare this anymore & said that she can live without me. The problem is that I cannot.Is she doing right ??

Well... see i have this friend melonie and shes like my uber bestfriend i also have mad feelings for her i do anything to see her happy even if its not with me well last friday we were at the mall and she met this guy and like she started talking to him and within a hour they started walking off without me and **** acting like i wasnt there and she really likes this guy plus she has a boyfriend im worried that if he dosent end up dating her that hell take my place as her bestfriend and thats all i have i know i dont stand a chance with her so ya i dont know wat to do <_>

I've known my friend for about 5 years now. We started getting closer when I really liked her, which was about 2 years ago. She turned me down at the time because we were too good friends. So I stopped at the beginning of this year, yes it was that long. However recently my feelings for her have started up again. She knows this and a few weeks ago told me that she actually likes me a bit too. I was pleasently surprised but she also says she doesn't know whether she can see us like that. We're very close as friends, we both like each other, but she can't see us like that, I can kind of understand what she means but I'd still like to give it a try. She's not the type to lie or mess with my head, so do you think I have a chance with her? Would she ever see us like that do you think?

My parents were married for 31 years. They separated when I was 16, and 4 years later, the divorce is final. In the beginning my mom cried alot, and I felt like I had to stay with her all the time to take care of her, while my father went out partying. 4 long years later, My mom and dad are able to talk and have dinner, and my relationship with my dad is great. My mom invited him to spend Thanksgiving with us (and my mom's family) this year. When my aunt found out she threw a fit, part of the reason was because she never got along with him, and the other part is she hates him for leaving his family. So even though my mom and I forgave him and moved on, my aunt has not. Is it fair to invite my dad if it pisses off the rest of the family? I really don't want to choose!

Just confused about the definition of bf/gf, it's kinda blur, they've been seeing each other for 2.5 months now, they do things together,like movies, dinner, golf,clubbing with friends, she cooks for him, he takes care of her when she is sick,but they've never talked about them, like set up the boundaries, are they bf/gf? or just each other's good company? by the way, he refers her as "partner", does it mean gf?
