I think it depends on the person. if you find someone you really like, and it was meant to be, then going out w/ the person is fine. Some people might not date until they are 20, others as young as 10. It doesnt matter if it's a person you like.

Well most of the time dating starts in elementary school but thats when the most little hearts get broken but that also helps you realize how life can work sometimes. 16 is a good age to start dating at but remember there will always be ups an downs. usually at 16 people just dont stay together because they are still adventuring dating. But then again if you find the right one it could last a life time!

There's no good age as it truly depends on who you are. Although 16 is considered the most acceptable age, 14 and 15 can be the earlier start for an -hopefully- long dating life.
But in fact, there's no rush after all. Good dating comes with maturity, ethics and moral. If you're able to listen to someone without staring at her breast all the time, you're on your way!
Understanding is at the escence of good communication skills, and communication is the basis of dating.
As far as sex is concerned, you definitely should wait... It will always be better with someone you understand, love, respect and truly relate to.

I think I was 16 or 17. Later, you realize you don't really come into who you are until you're older and alot of the dating you did when you were younger didn't make any sense. I would never ever date the people I did when I was young, but they did help me realize what I did and did not like, and that makes your hunt for the perfect person easier as you go.

16 is just fine, my gf is 16 and im her first bf. Earlier is good because you have plenty of time to make mistakes and learn from them so your relationships when your 16 are maybe better for you. If your startign at 16 though it is just fine and Im sure things will go good for you. Good luck!

Age is only one factor. Are you mentally mature enough to handle a relationship? What means to you have to support a relationship? How are your communication skills? How are you at handling rejection?
Just because you may "feel" ready to enter into the dating scene, the object(s) of your affection(s) may not be. Take things slowly. Life comes at you fast enough as it is.
